I arrived and waited 45 minutes to be called no problem they where very busy. Sat down in the chair for my appointment showed the hairdresser what I was looking for and she said oh I can’t do that, it was the same cut I had gotten last time. She said you can wait for Jimmy jimmy said no you need to try it. I thought about it watched the loom on her face and walked out. Hiring people who are not confident in their abilities is not a good idea.

I walked in at Romeo plank and 23 mile road great clips location yesterday September 9th, 2022 at 7:55 pm I was greeted by a gentleman by saying welcome to Great Clips. Not even a minute later he told me they cant cut my hair because its 4 minutes to 8 come back tomorrow I cant give you a 4 minute haircut. That was very rude in the first place besides if you close before 8pm then you are falsely advertising your hours of operation because you dont close at 8 but you close before 8pm. I came there for years me and my son since this place opened up but will never come there again and I will make sure to tell all my relatives not to ever come there again.

Lisa cut my hair. There was an instant connection when I sat in her chair. Whatever the subject, we had fun and laughter discussing it. Oh, and she gave me a great haircut, too. I’ve usually received ok haircuts when I’ve visited great clips. Each time I go in I ask for a trim to clean up the ends. Today was no different. Rita asked if I was doing the same as last time, to which I responded, “We did a trim last time and she may have blended my few layers, but today I only want a trim to clean up the dry ends.” I haven’t had Rita before, but I usually have someone different each time and didn’t think anything of it. Unfortunately I closed my eyes for a minute and it was too late. I opened my eyes and saw almost 3 inches being chopped. I asked if it was that bad and she said she was blending it a little more. By this point it was already too late because you can’t put hair back on. I told her I don’t do face framing, but she did it when I couldn’t see behind my head. Not once did I ask for layers, but when we were being rang up she mentioned to the other employee that she added layers. We were not charged since there was a promotion, but I cannot believe she wanted to charge me for something that NEVER came from my mouth. I drove home in tears only to find it was even worse when I got home. Not only did I pay for choppy layers when I asked for a trim, but now I will have to go back to my original salon to have it fixed. It took me 2 years to finally get my hair back to how I wanted it and now I’ll have to start over. I will not be coming back and I will share my experience with those I know.

Now, Great Clips usually is rather iffy. However, this salon has an employee that was by far the rudest, & least competent out of anyone I have ever encountered. She rushed the hair cutting process so much you’d think she was going for a timed record! Also never once letting me know her name even when I asked for it! Very unprofessional indeed. I asked for a trim, and for the back to be shorter than the front and showed her exactly the length. Well I have to say with all her scratching (and almost ripping out my earrings) and snipping – I ended up with what I can confidently say is the sorriest excuse for a haircut I’ve ever seen. My 7year old niece could do a better job. It’s uneven to start with, completely butchered, and also an entire SIX INCHES shorter than where I specifically showed her where to stop! Now normally they are kind and slow and ask you questions – this dolt disregarded every common courtesy in her speedy butchering process and I never even could see the mirror until she was completely done. I’ve never had a more violent experience. If I ever decided to return, I would make sure she was fired. If she is fired I will be happy to say to people that yes you can get a hair cut at a cheap place. As long as she is under Great Clip’s employment – I will do my best to spread the word that it is not worth it. I don’t understand how someone like that could have passed cosmetology school and received her cosmetology licence! Deplorable.
