ZERO STARS. I have been going to the Great Clips, 411 Larchmont Blvd, Mt Laurel for about 10 years and have had the same stylist during that time. NEVER AGAIN! She is regularly not in during her normal shift, and we went in yesterday for a haircut with any other stylist available. BIG MISTAKE. The stylist refused to cut my 11-year-old sons hair claiming he had lice. She further would not cut my hair or even seat me. She showed me what look like little flakes of dandruff (which my son has never had) or dried shampoo in his hair. She stated it was lice and even said she saw a bug crawl out of his hair which I believe was a lie. Next, I went to the pharmacy and spent $35 on lice shampoo. Went home and administered this to my son, spent 5 hours doing laundry & sprayed all around the house. Upon examining my son’s hair after applying the lice shampoo, there were NO SIGNS of flakes or lice. Conclusion is the dried flakes of old shampoo were gone because we wet his hair and they dissolved. Something a professional stylist would consider before diagnosing my son with lice and denying service. The next day and with no signs of lice, we both went for haircuts at a different salon and there was no MENTION of lice by the stylist…NONE. Right after that, to be sure I still took my son to the Lice Clinic of America where he was cleared of any signs of lice whatsoever. NOTHING. This only cost me $45. They concluded that any professional stylist would know the difference between lice and flakes of dried shampoo. My son missed a half of day of school, and I missed a half a day of work and lost wages. Worst of all is the toll this took on my 11-year-old son. I went in today and complained in person to the manager who was apologetic. I told her this stylist should be fired! I found out that the NJ State Board of Cosmetology and hair Styling oversees and licenses these stylists. I will be filing a complaint against this stylist! I did not even catch her name, or I would mention it here, but I will find out.

Made an appointment online. There was one person before me with two stylist. Must have been break time because other stylus walked in the back never to return. I walked out the door never to come back also. Not sure what happened here, but customer service used to mean something.

This is my go to place for hair cuts since last 5 years. Lately, I felt the quality of service went down. In my last vist, I was called in immediately without cleaning up the hair on chair and around it from previous session. Also, the stylist did not wear a glove or washed her hands before starting my haircut.

Absolutely horrible for a child to go here. We had the woman that’s on the first chair on the right. She kept telling my 7 year old how bad her hair was, how she didn’t take care of it, how it’s going to fall out and it’s her choice if that’s how it ends up. She also called out to me in the waiting area to tell me how to wash and brush my child’s hair like I’m slow. It’s summer. Kids are in pools and camp and when it’s thick hair it’s going to get knotty. After this going on for an extended amount of time, I finally stood up and asked her to not speak to my daughter anymore. Completely unprofessional to bully a child and make them feel bad about themselves.
