The services that I have received at Meraki Salon & Spa were top notch. I first booked my bridal party here for my wedding in June. Cleo was very prompt, professional, and helpful with booking my event. I then scheduled my hair and makeup trial. Lorae worked WONDERS with my thick/ long locks. She turned my mop into a beautiful masterpiece! Morgan listened to all my makeup requests and made me look like a model. I simply couldn’t wait for June 18th. On that day, Lorae, Morgan, and Kate flawless busted out my bridal party of 9! They were very accommodating, patient, and fun! Everyone loved their hair and makeup. The bridal room was spacious, welcoming, and perfect for champagne and brunch as we got ready. They also offer onsite services for a small additional cost, we just preferred to come into the salon. My sister got married in August and had made an appointment to have her and her 3 bridesmaids’ hair done the day of the wedding. A contract was signed by my sister and the salon with the details of the service to be provided, date, and location. We arrived on time the morning of the wedding to the salon for our scheduled appointment. Upon arrival we were told that there was not a bridal party scheduled that day for updos. The receptionist was so kind checking and double checking their schedule and making sure we were at the correct location. My sister was able to show her the signed contract. The receptionist told us she needed to make a few phone calls to get this resolved. Within a few minutes she was off the phone and escorting us back to their bridal area. She continued to apologize for the mix up and explained how they were going to use the few stylists that were there to get our hair completed. Everyone I came in contact with at the salon was incredibly kind and apologetic for the mix up even tho they were not the one that missed getting our appointment on the schedule. In the end, our hair looked amazing and we were only 10 minutes late leaving the salon. Despite the mix up with the appointment not getting on the schedule I would highly recommend Meraki (Gettysburg location) and would definitely use them again. Mistakes happen but the response to it is exactly why I gave them 5 stars. The staff’s overall attitude and extreme kindness outweighed the mistake and made our time in the salon very enjoyable.

Very disappointed in the services at this salon. I used Gettysburg Meraki Salon for my bridal party to get hair and make up done for my wedding on September 3rd. Make up was mediocre for the price you pay. The lip stain was gone in minutes. Because I was the bride, they did my hair and make up last. When the make up artist was finished with me, she left immediately. I asked if I could have eyeliner because none was put on for me and I was told there was no one else there that could do make up since she left. They were nice enough to take off the price of my lashes in place of that (although I never asked for fake lashes in the first place and really didn’t want them). It seems that they overbook themselves and just want to get people done rather than care about what they look like on their special day. Also, my bridesmaids’ hair fell out while we were still sitting there at the salon and the stylists seemed annoyed that we kept asking them to keep pinning it back up. Minutes after I left, my whole hairstyle fell out. I had a ponytail style and instead of using a hair tie in my hair, they tied a knot in my hair to hold the pony tail which fell out in minutes. My sister had to redo everyone’s hair when we got to the venue. Honestly, we each spent about $160, and it’s just a lot of money spent for terrible results. I hate to leave bad reviews, and I do believe this salon is great at coloring hair based on their pictures, but definitely not for wedding hairstyling.

My first time here, Karina did my hair and i LOVED it! I came in with a disaster of hair that another stylist from elsewhere did to my hair, lots of orange tones and spotting i had in my hair and Karina fixed it! She did my hair exactly how i wanted it. Shes so patient and professional! I am forsure returning to her!
