Rude, unprofessional, poor service. Probably one of the worst nail experiences i’ve had in a long time. I went here because my normal place was fully booked so i decided to try this one. First, The gel color selection was limited and it was very hard to pick out since you have to choose by bottle color, no samples. I asked for one layer of clear dip powder and gel polish on top and the gentleman technician said “just do dip color”. I shouldn’t have to explain myself for the way i like it done. Next, after asking specifically for ONE layer of dip, he proceeded to do two on my pinky finger and when i asked again for one layer he was annoyed by the request and reluctantly did one layer on the rest. after the one layer he proceeded to grind down the entire layer with the electric nail drill tool which defeated the purpose. There was no cuticle treatment at all nor hot towel. The shaping of the nails was crooked and i had to request them to be fixed. To top it all off, they charged me $65 for this service. At my normal salon the same service is $38. I was going to let it go and just not go back until my nails started chipping not even ONE week later. I called to express my frustration with my service and was directed to the managers boss who completely ignored me. Did not return my calls or texts. I will never be returning.

I got disappointed in many ways.. first I thought it is a very nice place, but chargin 65$ for regular , basic dip powder manicure? I have never seen anywhere! And the manicure was Okay, I saw way better manicures. Pedicure was awful, the woman without finishing my pedicure left me and went to cashier to count her money? Are you serious? I had to ask after 5 minute waiting for no reason If she is done, and she said yes come. While on pedicure, the guy came and vacuumed place for 15 minutes, I came to relax not to listen to the sound of the vacuum. 3 hours for mani and pedi? I ve never had that before either. Paid 120$ + tips in total and got very disappointed.

I went in to get my toe nails cut down and a polish change,, well the woman I got did not want to be bothered!!! I mean left my old polish all over my toes and then the polish is rough and not done right!!! I will not be going back!! On top of that she charged me 20$ Nail painting

I wanted to love this place because the staff was welcoming and very nice! However, it took 45 minutes for them to “soak” off my nail polish before even starting application. It then took another 45 minutes to do my dip powder, which is a relatively quick process anywhere else. It’s also a lot more expensive than every other place I have been too ( a simple one color dip powder mani that costs me $35 was $50 here!!!) It was also unsanitary and I noticed that they used a lot of the same tools on me as the previous client they worked with, without disinfecting. Also, my dip powder cracked within days of getting a “fresh mani”. What started as a nice pale pink, turned into spider web nails.

I’ve been going to Gateway Nails for several years and I have never been disappointed. I’ve always receive great service, walked away pleased with my manicure/pedicure as well as feeling relaxed. I have always been treated with respect and felt I was in the hands of really good professionals. I feel they work extremely hard to please their clients. I highly recommend them.

I would never come back to this nail salon even if you paid me. It’s literally a joke. I always come to get acrylic sets and end up spending upwards to $100 based on the styles & lengths I tend to choose (mind you, I tip good as well). The past two times I’ve come in I ‘ve only needed more minor services. The first time, I just needed my acrylics taken off. Mind you, they could have charged me whatever they wanted & it still would have been fine with me I just didn’t have the time or energy to do it at home. The woman has me wait for 10 mins in the halfway EMPTY salon just to come back and ask me to walk around the shopping center for a half hour because they’re too busy. Ok, I say I’m never coming back but being as though they’re only 5 mins from my KOP apartment I find myself back today. This time, I just want my eyebrows arched. Once again I’m asked to sit down and wait (for 10 mins) just to have the older lady come over and whisper asking me if I can just come back tomorrow. They weren’t supposed to close for another hour! It’s pathetic that you guys aren’t CAPABLE or willing enough to stop a service for 3 mins just to arch someone’s eyebrows. They look at that as small money. But if I said I also wanted an acrylic set you would have immediately sat me down & even pulled another employee from who knows where to assist. Pathetic. There’s tons of other salons in the area that are way better.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWow. Best pedicure I’ve ever had! I decided to upgrade since it’s my birthday to the spa pedicure. I got massaged with a scrub, two types of lotions, and hot rocks! She took her time and did a wonderful job. So relaxing. 5 stars! Also very clean facility and bathroom which is important to me.Service: Pedicure

I love this nail place! They are taking great precautions during COVID, as well. I’ve gotten pedicures at so many different places over the years and Gateway is one of my favorites. They are always very friendly. I usually get their spa pedicure which is $55 —it’s one of the most thorough pedicures I’ve ever gotten so I def think it’s worth it (honestly haven’t looked at the prices for other things). One time when I went, I wasn’t wearing flip flops and I was trying to put my loafers on before my nails were dry (I was in a rush to go food shopping) and she was so concerned and told me to come back and she will fix it if it smears, which I thought was really nice considering it was my fault if I put my shoes on too early.
