I came for a haircut with Alina I believe. She did not introduce herself. She seemed like a new hairstylist, not just to the salon but to the industry. No big deal. However, I asked for layers and still have a blunt cut with 0 layers. As I styled my own hair today, I realized there were no layers. If I had noticed when I was there, I would said something. Literally looks the same as before the cut. She didn’t cross check the cut. I used to do hair so I know how a cut is done. After $100, my hair looks the same before I came. My appointment was originally with Anna but they had to switch me. I regret not rescheduling. Waste of $100. I came here a while back and had an amazing experience with Dasha, who is no longer there. But this was absolutely a waste of time and money.

Fantastic!!! Dasha made my hair look the best it’s ever looked. I knew I wanted to try something new with my hair, and Dasha truly amazed me with her professionalism and Air Touch technique , I got so many compliments in one day already. If you are looking for a hair colorist, you must see Dasha, who is in my opinion one of the best in the hair coloring business in NYC. Quite pricey but you get a quality job done on your hair. If you don’t care about the money and want to look fabulous then this is a place for you. Stuff is very pleasant and accommodating. Anna is a top colorist. Highly recommend her for blond air touch/ balayage or highlights!

Absolutely happy with the experience I had at the Umode salon! My hair fairy Dasha did an amazing job. I always wanted to be blonde but was afraid that I would not get the result I can be happy with. I found Dasha on the Instagram @2dmakeup and fell in love immediately. I knew she is the one I can trust my hair to. She listened to me, answered all my questions and took a great care of me! I also liked the salon, such a cozy, clean and light place. Definitely gonna come back!!!

Top notch stylists whose prices reflect their skills. Been coming here for years with my girl.. Never a bad cut! But plan your appointment in advance as all the guys and gals are super busy, especially on the weekends tending to the Russian public obsessed with those do’s on Saturday nights :))
