When I moved to Boulder I was struggling to find a hair stylist that can cut curly hair. Many studios say they will do it and then upcharge for this ridiculous thing called “curly girl method”. It’s just a brand that you have to pay a lot for.I wanted to find a hairstylist that understood the nuances of working with curls without punishing my wallet. Jesse was exactly that. She does a great job respecting the hair for what it wants to do. Plus, she’s a pleasure to talk with, so the time really flies by. I highly recommend Jesse and this hair salon in general. I had booked an appointment a month in advance with a stylist because I didn’t know what to do with my hair. It was a consultation so we weren’t even planning on touching my hair that day. I get a call from them and they tell me they’re canceling my appointment. Because the stylist that I was meeting with didn’t do twists (a style I was considering). It just sucks because I did my research on the stylists, and chose to meet with one in particular. I waited for a month and they call me 2 days before and cancel. It’s not like y’all wouldn’t have gotten my money just because you couldn’t give me twists 🙁
