Prior to visiting this establishment, I read many negative reviews. However, I decided to take a chance. I was glad I did because the braids were beautiful and it didn’t take a long time. I recently scheduled another braids appointment because the other ones grew out. This time I was given lots of misinformation about the time of my appointment. When I arrived, one of the ladies was laying on the couch by the front door and asked what I needed. I told her that I was there for my appointment. She mumbled something inaudible and ignored me. She began to braid a woman’s hair who arrived after me. After sitting and being completely ignored for 35 minutes, I gathered my things to leave. One of the employees was shouting at and running behind me as I was leaving. She came to my car and said that her sister will braid my hair shortly. Her sister was not even half done with the person’s hair who was in her chair. So, she would not have been able to start my hair any time soon. The woman who approached my car tried to accommodate me but it was too late. I was over them talking about me in another language. I don’t recommend this business to anyone. They are completely unprofessional! I only gave them one star because I couldn’t comment unless I gave them at least one.

Positive: Professionalism, QualityI’ve been getting my hair braided here now bout 12years.. When i first started, the owners were more laid back. They braid perfect.. They would fit you in no problem. Most time they would say “YOU WANNA COME TODAY” but now its hard tryna just get 2 4 6 8 10 braids. The lady was very rude and upset because I told her she was braiding too tight. She was very impatient and did not try to adjust the way she was braiding and just blamed it on me. I was right because my scalp has soo many sores and bumps

Very unprofessional, I went then when I got done I was waiting on my ride then the short lightskin lady & the very ugly one was making very rude comments saying I need to hurry up and leave and making loud huffing & puffin noise when I was getting my hair done waiting on the towel to boil my braids she purposely put the towel over my phone it was a lot of disrespectful stuff so I won’t be going there anymore! I was going to this shop for about 10 + years and today I have got to say, I was really disappointed. I made an appointment on Monday for today, Friday. I was told if I could not make it, be sure to call and cancel. Out all the times I have visited this braiding shop I have never missed an appointment and I have never cancelled. Even after I moved over a hour a way, I still went to this shop. Well today, I traveled over an hour to this shop to be told I couldn’t get my hair done because they could not reach me. She said my phone was disconnected but my bill was not disconnected. Being I did not cancel, my appointment should have still been valid. She tells me because people make appointments and don’t come, my appointment was cancelled. I don’t know what other people not showing up for their appointment had anything to do with me. It just showed me that supposedly professional people get so caught up with money, that they loose sight of the customers who is the reason for the success of their businesses! Without customers, there is no business! The saddest thing is that there was no accommodation offered, I wasn’t even ask to come back a different day! All I got was ‘sorry!’ Should not have spent so much money at this shop! I really think there was no intent to do my hair as the person who normally do my hair wasn’t even there!

This shop is unsanitary & unprofessional!! The main one is Ms. Rose she talks mean to the customers & have a mean spirit all the time. “She told me she blocked me” for no reason after i tipped her everytime. She drunk wine while working on my hair & stated i was going to have wine braids. This business should be close down. They never clean up & the bathroom do not work!!!

This was my first time visiting and getting my hair done by Africans..They done a marvelous job with my braids. I also love the environment and the fact that I had great laughs watching Madea..lol..Thanks to the wonderful staff at Faith African Hair Braiding..see you’ll in three months.
