I’ve been coming to Electrolysis by Janice since February 2016, and it has CHANGED MY LIFE! My main electrologist is Teresa, and she has made the entire process smooth, and comfortable throughout, not to mention she is a sweetheart. I’ve also been treated by Bethany and Janice, and they are both great as well! My first visit was educational, where Teresa explained the procedure, types of hair growth, estimated time frame of removal, etc., followed by a 15 min complimentary section in order to see comfort level, and if electrolysis would be fitting for me.

Electrolysis is the permanent option to laser hair removal. The process is using a probe to insert directly into the hair follicle and zap it with electricity, killing the follicle and preventing hair from ever growing back again. The most important thing to know however, is that this isn’t a one time zap. It takes several sessions, depending on the person’s hair resiliency, to achieve no more growth. I’m on my 12th session, and about $1200 in so far. This makes it much more expensive than laser hair removal – and if you plan to have a large hair area done, this is gonna cost you a lot. At Electrolysis by Janice, the charge is for time, not for area, so I suggest you always pay the maximum amount of time allowed, which as far as I know, is an hour and a half. The staff is kind and wonderful, and the only thing I can critique is that they could definitely use a receptionist, as there is often no one there to answer your calls, and 9/10 I had to leave a message. They do get back to me the same day, or by the next day, but definitely a receptionist is helpful.
