I’ve had 2 haircuts here. The first was great! Then I went in for a haircut four days before my wedding and she made a mess of the bangs and feathering on the right! Unreal – what was that all about; was she daydreaming? Needless to say, it took some work to make my hair presentable for the ceremony. I’ll never go there again.

I showed her pictures of what I wanted and we talked for a few minutes to nail down exactly what I wanted. Throughout, she was very easy to talk to. I usually don’t write reviews but this one is needed. I have been a customer here for multiple services like perming, smoothening, haircut and keratin treatment with Colleen Seghi always. I was having a bad experience every single time. Still kept going as I was trying to be patient thinking that maybe this time it was my hair which did not react well to the perm, maybe it’s me who is expecting a lot from smoothening and so on. But they even messed up my keratin treatment in return for immense hair pulling ( a lot of pain lasting for next 24hours) and 300$. I have had keratins before and never have the results been so bad. My hair has even more frizz than before, they are still curly and do not have any shine or smoothness or softness. My keratin treatments before were never washed immediately after flat ironing. I was always told to wash it after 24hours. That’s what the standard process is when I googled. But Colleen for some reason washed it immediately after flat ironing. They don’t know the process and they perhaps use pathetic quality products. When I tried reaching out to her on call the next day, none of them have the courage to talk or take accountability for it. Even for perm, the result was uneven curls throughout. Some parts of my head had defined curls while others were just as normal wavy. It shows lack of experience and that’s why I decided to write this review. During keratin treatment the product is usually massaged into the hair. But Colleen just applied the product with a brush. Maybe she didn’t have gloves to be able to massage it in. I have been patient and considerate but not even once was the result as expected. I have lived in Bloomington for past five years and haven’t experienced such bad services anywhere else. They are just the worst in Bloomington.

Her personality was one of the biggest highlights of my experience. I was almost in tears because of how perfect ny hair turned out. Marisa really took the time to get the right results. I have been trying to get my hair cut the way I want it for about six months. every salon has pretty mixed reviews, and honestly, I went to Elan today because they had availability. So glad I did! Colleen cut my hair. She listened to what I wanted, took it slow, ask questions throughout the whole process to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. My hair looks fantastic, it’s exactly the way I had pictured. I’m very happy with my cut! Thanks Elan!

Colleen has cut my hair (men’s haircut) for the last two years and done an excellent job each and every time. She is personable, dedicated, and will ensure that your hair looks exactly how you want it to. The salon is also taking all of the proper precautions to keep their space clean during the pandemic. I cannot recommend Colleen strongly enough!
