I googled for salons near me in uptown Manhattan and im so glad i found this place… I had my teenage daughter have a consultation with Carmel and she was very sweet and professional and gave my daughter a beautiful around the face blonde highlights and a trim of long layers to give some volume to her hair. We loved her new look. Thank you Carmel for doing a great job on Layla’s hair. We will be coming back again.

Arrived here today, and to say that I am disappointed with my services is an understatement. My hair was to be dyed. I saw some color options and I went with the dark color, so my hair was to not be bleached. When Diesel proceeded to bleach my hair, I was beyond shocked. Neither did he ignore my wishes to not bleach my hair the color was nothing like what I wanted. This ended up being one of the worst experiences ever with more than $300 out of my pocket. None of the stylist followed instructions and were very occupied with talking instead of getting my hair done. To say the least, I will not be coming back here again.

I had to say bye to Mimi, my hair stylist of 9 years in NY! She took care of my curls all this time and she always did an outstanding job. The Dramatics NYC team at the 3rd Ave was always nice and kind, keeping a light and joyful environment. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, specially for NY standards. It will be hard to find a team like this in Tampa! If you have curl hair, do not hesitate, Dramatics NYC is the best choice!

Pandora is amazing!! She did exactly what I asked for. She was super attentive, asked questions, showed me pictures, and worked to create what I envisioned. Affordable Manhattan prices. If you want a cheap haircut, you’ll get a cheap haircut – I know from experience so I’m glad I decided to make an appointment with her instead! 110% recommend – I have attached photos that she took and are on her instagram. I must say that I am very disappointed in my haircut. I had prolonged getting a cut for so long that I decided the other day it was time to just cut it all off again. The biggest mistake I made was coming here after reading all the great reviews. First I was offered a cut from one barber before I can even find a photo online to show them what I was looking for. I asked the woman if she can give me 5 minutes and so she agreed. When I was ready I was told her client came in early so there for she wasn’t available anymore. So I waited until I was assigned to Jade aka the manager. Not only was I not feeling her energy but she didn’t want to listen to what I wanted. She had the nerve to tell me after showing her a pic of my cut that she didn’t think it suited me. How do you know what’s best for me lady? Then I showed her a few photos that were all similar to the first photo I showed her thinking she’d get a more better ideal of what I wanted and she still didn’t get it so I decided right there and then that I wasn’t going to storm off and request another barber especially knowing that she was the manager and would’ve been offended if I had requested to wait for someone more experienced at cutting short hair. I found her to be arrogant, nasty and impatient and that only stopped when i began being extra nice to her and me wanting to not cause a scene but the whole time I was there I was really angry and disappointed. Jade is not a stylist and she cannot follow instructions. I payed a lot of money for not only myself but for my dear aunt. I also tipped out these ppl. I’m demanding a refund back for my time waisted and horrible hair cut. This woman left strand of hair everywhere on my head. Then she cleaned up my side burns and left several strands hanging from that area. When my hair dries up it puffs out from the sides. The whole point was to take off the back and thin it out. My hair is every thick and I specified that. I also felt like I didn’t want to keep on explaining because I was concerned about her getting upset again. I have a real good sense of character and scoping out ppls energy and I must say I will not return to their place. The receptionist also seemed a bit offf. No character and I can tell he was a funny one too. I want my money back in full and I will be getting in touch with the owner about this place.

Was a little skeptical at first because of the mixed reviews but I got a great haircut from Glaze! She knows how to work with wavy hair and gave me the perfect long layers I asked for. My only complaint is that the few times I’ve called front desk the receptionists have been very curt

Awful result for a seemingly easy trim .. will not come back for sure .. the stylist did exactly the opposite of what I asked her to do, months of hair growth is gone and Im back at square one because the client’s ONLY request was ignored
