Diesel Barbershop at Bartram Market (next to the Publix) is the modern-day version of the vintage corner barbershop and appeals to what today’s men and boys want in a haircut experience. It offers a more masculine atmosphere with a no drama, no gossip attitude and barbers and stylists who are exceptionally trained and talented. They know how to cut a good head of hair, as well as give amazing customer service. We are a refreshing sanctuary for guys: part barbershop, part salon, and part arcade. Our customers can watch sports, play video games, listen to music, shoot the breeze, and enjoy a cold beverage-all while getting a haircut, trim, shave, scalp massage or brow wax.

First time in today. Ms.Donna was fantastic and a great first impression to represent Diesel. She really took her time and made sure I had a nice hair cut. Yes, I’ve always thought the prices were a little much but your paying for quality. Cool way to start Friday they have beer while your waiting or other beverages. I’ve been to many other barbers around this community and the quality and service is not there. I don’t mind paying the prices for someone who knows how to properly cut hair. Overall cool vibe everyone was friendly.

Do yourself a favor and stop going to the cookie cutter plaza-filler haircut places and go get a real haircut at Diesel. Always a consistently awesome experience. Ask for Donna. In town visiting dad over labor day weekend but I didn’t have time to get cleaned up before coming down, so I made an appointment a day before coming. To my surprise, I was able to get an appointment last minute for a 1:30 slot on a Saturday (hallelujah). I’ve never been to this shop before so I rolled the dice and selected ‘first available’ for my services and I was not prepared for what was to come. Mario really took the time on my tricky beard and his close attention to detail paired with a steady hand got me looking and feeling better than I have in a while! Also enjoyed a bit of a floor show with the other barbers chatting together… super cool environment and I can’t wait to come back again every time I’m in town. Justin spent a great deal of my haircut bragging about how awesome he is. Spoiler alert, he is not. He repeatedly complained throughout the haircut about me having product in my hair (a light hold styling cream, not a hard gel) which has never been a problem at any barbershop I’ve ever been to before. His technique was downright painful. The haircut is ridiculously overpriced due to things you cannot opt out of (like a neck massage, which I never received but didn’t feel comfortable asking about due to how annoyed and aggressive his hair cutting was) To be clear, the price wouldn’t be an issue if the value was actually there and the haircut was actually high end. The haircut was so terrible there was no saving it and I went home and buzzed my head with a #1. But hey there’s free arcade games in the lobby that other customers’ kids are playing so you can’t even use them, right?
