I had the most fabulous experience at this beautiful salon yesterday! I went in with very broken hair after years of damaging treatments and stylists who refused to listen and could not deliver. I honestly was not expecting much, but WOW am I impressed with this place! From the moment I walked in I was welcomed very warmly. I was fortunate enough to score an appointment with the owner Sue who was absolutely incredible! She took the time to listen to me tell the story about my struggle and patiently explained her plan to get my hair back in shape. Not only was she spot on about what to do for my hair, but she also gave me the most relaxing neck and shoulder massage, and the conversation was intelligent and delightful! Not only does my hair look fabulous and healthy, but I feel like I’ve made a new friend. I can definitely wholeheartedly recommend this place, and they have earned a customer for life!

We recently moved here from out of state and I was in dire need of a haircut and color. I took a chance at Desert Strands as it was close to where our new home is. I hit the jackpot!!! Monica is incredible and so personable. We chatted non-stop during my entire appointment and she made me feel so welcomed. And my hair…. WOW!!! The color was so rich and shiny and the cut was amazing. AND… they only use Aveda products!!! I immediately scheduled my next appointment. I highly recommend Monica at Desert Strands!

My parents moved to Anthem in 2018. It was important to my Mom that she find the right salon. Desert Strands was perfect. They listened to her and cared for every hair on her head. My Mom has always taken pride in her self-care and presentation. And so it was when she was no longer able to leave her house due to a challenging illness. Sue at Desert Strands helped me (long distance, I’m in NYC) arrange for a stylist, the wonderful Eileen, to come to Mom and give her an at-home hair cut. It was better than any medicine in her pillbox. We are grateful to Desert Strands for their excellent hair care and customer service brimming with humanity. I can’t recommend this salon highly enough.
