Tracie’s unrivaled haircutting skills are matched only by the size of her heart. Many years ago, fourteen in fact, she taught my wife, Jane, to cut my hair and trim my beard. We were about to move onto the 40′ Island Packet sailboat that would be our floating home for the next thirteen years. After the last lesson, Tracie closed her shop a bit early and presented Jane with a barber kit that she would use from Montauk, Long Island, to Georgetown, The Bahamas, to trim her husband into proper tonsorial shape.

While I haven’t had my hair done here, I can tell everyone that these ladies are among the most helpful I’ve ever met. I had a trial for wedding hair at another salon in the area (that doesn’t have a sign), and they happily helped me find where I needed to go. I wasn’t given an attitude, which would have been completely understandable. One of the women even pulled out her own phone to help me search for it! Amazing people. I can’t wait to actually sit in one of their chairs!
