DO NOT SUPPORT THIS DISCRIMINATIVE BUSINESS. This salon turned away my friend saying the salon is “for women only.” This is freaking 2022, my friend uses all pronouns, this is INSANE. Never ever should someone be turned away from a business, especially depending on their appearance. I AM DISGUSTED.

Although I could tell they really know their stuff about curly hair and my hair definitely looked much more hydrated and defined after my visit there, I was unimpressed with how I was treated while there. I felt like an afterthought. I think this is probably because they overbooked themselves. I understand why they book so many appointments a day (they are the probably the only good curly hair salon for miles), but I felt under-served while there because of it. It was a disappointing experience because of how much I anticipated the visit.

Critical: Professionalism, ValueStay away from this place!! I NEVER post reviews, but the haircut I received is unbelievable!! To begin, the perimeter is uneven, one side of my head looks shorter than the other side. The stylist grabbed handfuls of hair and cut what seemed nilly willy. It looks like Peter Brady’s hair circa 1975. When I asked to see the back of my head she took a picture of it instead of handing me a mirror. She quickly showed me a picture which looked decent, but when I got home and checked it out in my own mirror it looked totally different!! I think she showed me someone else’s head shot!! What a total waste of money!! Frustrated as heck, as now I’ll need to go elsewhere and cut more hair just to even it out!Service: HaircutStay away from this place!! Stay away from this place!! I NEVER post reviews, but the haircut I received is unbelievable!! To begin, the perimeter is uneven, one side of my head looks shorter than the other side. Top Notch!!! Awesome! If you have wavy or curly hair, this is the place for you! My hair has never looked this good, the curls are nice, soft and healthy looking, not frizzy and unmanageable like they always are….or used to be 🙂

I have very coarse, frizzy hair. No products or diffusing ever gave me defined curls, so I spent 2 decades flat ironing it. Vicki changed my life the day she cut my hair and I walked out of the salon with bouncy, defined curls without the use of a curling iron. This was my last resort stop. I am growing out a pixie and it got to that horribly awkward time when I had to wear a headband every day just to tame the poufy triangle on my head. I have never found a stylist who could give my curls the treatment they needed. After an hour at Curls On Top, I am back to loving my hair! I have the cutest short bangs and I’m ready to power through thr rest of the growing out cycle.
