Love love love Najiba for the curly hair cut she gave me today. I can’t recommend her enough and can’t be thankful enough for finding her. She is very knowledgeable and thorough in her work. I’ve been going to Najiba for 20 years now. We lost touch briefly when I moved and didn’t know where she had later moved to. I was so happy when I found her again! Najiba and Ashton create spectacular results for curly hair. I’ve always struggled to find a hair stylist who could enhance my curls natural beauty as well as use techniques to style my hair straight. After I found Chix Studio, there was no need to go anywhere else. My curls have turned out healthier and happier (as have I). I’m always happy with the end result whether it’s a cut, color, style, or blow dry. Thank you for everything : )

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI had my first appointment with Najiba today, after much research for someone that can not only shape my fine curly hair, but educate me on why my hair has dried out so much and what parts of my daily regimene may be causing this never ending cycle. I was nervous coming in, as I had a devacut years before (elsewhere) and was disappointed. I am so relieved to say, I think I found the needle in the haystack. Najiba is the real deal. She took her time and exceeded all of my high expectations. First off, she asked me to wash my hair and apply zero product to it and come to her with it air dryed. (Side note:I dont think I ever did this before. I learned how my hair is in its natural state after SO many years and I actually loved it, frizz and all)! This was lesson no. 1. When I got there she asked me what I wanted. My hair had been damaged from flat ironing, had scraggly ends, looked fine and lymp. I had medium length hair, and wanted to get rid of the dead ends and get a shape that matched my face…she did a dry cut and gave me the most beautiful rounded 80s afo-ish shape :):). Then, she did a cleansing treatment. Although I came with my hair double washed and conditioned, and she was using an interesting cleansing technique, she could tell I had product coating my strands still. (This explained why my hair never absorbed moisture dispite the various oils and deep conditioning treatments I tried: lesson no 2)! She explained I may need to consider a longer cleansing treatment in the future. She then styled my hair using a product meant to “heal” the hair strands, an oil, and a frizz serum. She didn’t use a lot. Finally, she diffused my hair. For the first time in my life, I felt fullness, and truly appreciated the naturalness of my hair. I was so used to caking products on my hair and that wet look, but nothing beats clean full healthy looking natural hair. Side note: my mother freaks out EVERYTIME I cut my hair. I was shocked when she actually didn’t, and said that my hair looked healthy.
