We stopped in to see if they could help get a comb unstuck from my young daughter’s hair. They added some products and let her sit for 30 minutes in one of the many open chairs. Then they struggled with the tangle for 10 minutes, while their other client’s color sat, making no progress with the tangle and ultimately just cutting the comb out on my insistence since no progress was being made. The woman, Maddie I believe, said she wasn’t going to charge us. I said I’d like to pay her something for her time but had no cash, thinking $10 was fair. She pulled out her credit card charger and charged me $30!!!! I have no clue what I was charged for and was too shocked to say anything. I’m not sure how you go from free to $30. That’s not my style of customer service or communication. On the contrary, the barber above them worked on the tangle for 20 minutes, made tremendous progress and refused to take any payment. I highly recommend him (D-luxe) for men. He referred us to this place because he had many clients waiting and had already generously and kindly given so much of his time. Wildflower Salon is across the street from this place. I have been a client there for 8 years and highly recommend them, although their excellent service means they are usually booked 2-6 weeks out.

Wonderful Experience! I was having a hard time finding a hairstylist in Flagstaff that was able to fit the style of balayage I was looking for. I spent awhile looking through photos on instagram of different stylist and ended up finding Jess and thought I would give her a shot. The salon had a great vibe, everyone was so friendly, and Jess went above and beyond my expectations for my hair. She really asked me questions on what I wanted and she delivered. Will definitely be going back again!

Went in to schedule for a balayage and the lady told me she couldn’t take me until later in the week but wanted to do a strand test so she cut a small chunk of hair out and we exchanged info so she could keep me updated. About 3 days later I text her for an update she didn’t get back to me until the next day to let me know she hadn’t done it. Few days go by I text again she says she forgot to take a picture but that it lifted nicely… Ask her if I can go do another strand test since I didn’t get to see the first one and it’s my first time getting anything done I’d like to see how it lifts before committing and she ghosted me. So this review is more for the type of people that work there rather than the service but it speaks to the type of service I would’ve been provided.

I spent 4 years in flagstaff as many students do, and I struggled to find a hair stylist for the first almost 2 years. I had one stylist that didn’t listen to what I wanted at all and gave me a haircut that required constant styling to look good, the exact opposite of what I wanted. One that whipped my hair around while cutting it so much that it hit me in the eye and I couldn’t see out of it right for the rest of the day. Finally I found Jess Lopez.

Kelsey was amazing! Honestly, the pictures speak for themselves. I went in wanting to lighten up my hair and get a better cut and Kelsey exceeded my expectations and gave me everything I asked for! The atmosphere in the salon was light and friendly and made the time I spent there feel so comfortable like I was hanging out with a friend. All of the stylists are so talented and lovely. She was very attentive and open-minded especially when I told her I was looking for a style that would require minimum touchups. I gave Holly a very basic rundown of what I was looking to get from my appointment but ultimately I wanted her to do her thing and let her style me the way she thought would be most flattering. And I was not disappointed! I left Salon Brio with an incredibly trendy and stylish cut and color. I am so happy to have let Holly work her magic! I made an appointment with Holly to revamp my look. I hadn’t gotten my hair cut in nearly two years so it was time for something new.. She was very attentive and open-minded especially when I told her I was looking for a style that would require minimum touchups.
