I’ve booked kids braids twice with two different stylist and each time they came up with some excuse as to why they wouldn’t be showing up. The first time I ended up doing a walk-in and my daughter was serviced immediately and loved her hair which is why I’m giving the shop 2 stars. My last encounter was just two days ago and my time was completely wasted. The stylist asked if she could push me back by 40 mins which I agreed to. Well imagine my surprise when I get there at the new agreed time and she wasn’t there nor did she ever show up. At this point, the shop needs to get better—more professional stylist to represent their brand.

My 2 rating is being nice. I’ve visited the braid bar before, never had any misunderstandings about anything until this morning. I called, asking about the price of a particular service. I arrive & was quoted a different price. I didn’t understand why, so, like a normal person, I decided to ask the stylist and the owner (the person on the phone), since I was really confused. You’d think the owner would’ve provide clarity and resolve the situation…Nope! Which at that point I decided not to use their service. The stylist was understanding but not the owner. The owner was being VERY condescending & for that reason, I walked it & will not support this business anymore.

The hair style I requested the stylist didn’t do.. WOULD NEVER GO BACK please don’t waste your time. Appointment at 1 didn’t start to 2 hair style takes 4 hours finished in an hour and a 1/2 changed the style from what I picked on their site I paid for long hair my hair is not long. Price was 160 without hair changed price to 205 for less braids and less time idk why I can’t support black business and get what I ask for.

I booked with stylist Camille in Decatur@Columbia Dr location. Camille hooked a sista up, she was one of the most organized, well prepared stylist I met. Camille did an wonderful, loving amazing Job. Camille was professional and personable, I truly enjoyed my experience and love my hair. I will be booking again.

The best location hands down….. Every single braider in there slays your hair.I did not see one woman walk out with a bad hairdo!!! I. Keep seeing posts about negative attitudes soon as I walked in,The person at the front desk was very helpful she even held my place when I had to run out and get a specific type of hair.

The staff was respectful. I give 2 stars because I requested for a style, the lady at the desk showed me some pictures from her phone and I chose one and I asked for waist line. So she told said a price and I said ok, after the hair is completed, I was charged a different price. I could have argued but I let it slide because I’m never going back there.

If u do a walk-in becareful because it’s random braiders in the shop. U won’t know who will braid your hair. I got Knotless braids that were entirely to tight. The baider was very heavy handed. I told her to lighten up and she got tighter. I took the braids out within a week. $350 down the drain. Braids

Came in as a walk in. Asked for a certain stylist and immediately got in the chair. Great environment.. everyone was extremely nice..they have food, drinks, jewelry, u name it.. 1 stop shop..affordable prices.. come to the east side and support ya ppl..I’ll be back!!! Braids

Walked in for a take down & blowout, someone helped me immediately. Takedown was okay but the blowout was horrible. Use cheap products like Suave on Black people hair so if you’re last minute like me at least bring your own products because my hair wasn’t even washed properly. My stylist was mentioning product build up then the blow dry wasn’t even good. Barely detangled my hair, comb from root to tip, and still didn’t have it really straight. Wish i only got the take down bc I wasted $30 on the blowout.
