Brittany is an amazeballz hair artist…listens to every word, talks with you to figure out exactly what you want and need, gives suggestions but is never pushy, and is simply an incredible human being that I just love talking to! She is an artist in every sense of the word and has a beautiful spirit! The facility is a lovely ‘open space’ concept…lots of natural light, excellent staff with fun loving personalities…everyone leaves looking incredible! Ethan has done my hair several time and it always looks fantastic. The first time I came in I needed mild color correction from having very streaky, I blended highlights on my dark hair and he saved me. He’s done bright champagne-y blonde and bright blonde with peek-a-boo rainbow. (Photos below) Ethan is so much fun to work with and he executes every challenge. Definitely recommend Blu Skies!

Attie was absolutely fantastic. It had been a long time since I’d had my hair cut and I’ve avoided salons due to the fear of just getting another one of those out of the book hair styles. I’d been nervous to try to explain my out of the box hairstyle idea but Attie grasped the idea and took flight with it and the execution was perfect! I went to Blu Skies Hair Salon for the first time for a specialty cut and dimensional color and the whole experience was above my expectations! Attie Beck was my stylist and i couldn’t recommend her enough. I went into my appointment very nervous because my hair had not been touched professionally in years and i was very much stepping out of my comfort zone going somewhere new as a black woman with 3c hair texture. The atmosphere was fun and Attie was kind, comforting and asked all the right questions about my hair from the start. I immediately felt like i was in the right hands. I showed her pictures of what i wanted and she got to work. She cut my hair first and made sure i was completely comfortable about the length and shape i wanted and then the wash and detangle was amazingly relaxing. I had red box dye in my hair from 4 months previous and that still wasn’t an issue for Attie. She was able to lift it and get it to the exact color i asked for and at the end of the appointment I was completely thrilled at how my hair came out. My curls hadn’t looked that good in years. 10/10 definitely recommend for any person of color that wants to try a new place but scared of new people touching their hair.
