I haven’t left a bad review before and I wasn’t going to, but I’ve been regretting my visit. I was in town visiting my boyfriend and figured I’d get my lashes done around there instead of at home. The woman who did them was great and so was the overall experience. The outcome was my issue. I asked for a more natural look at they seemed bigger than my regular lash extensions and there was a bit of visible glue and wonky lashes. It is impossible to get them into a place that looks good. I wish I would have gone to my regular lash artist or not have gone here at all. I have been attempting to remove them with multiple products but they won’t come off. I am attaching a photo of the day I got them done. It has been a few days of attempting to get them off and they won’t budge. I feel sad that I spent so much money and didn’t get what I expected. Great staff, but not worth the outcome.

I highly recommend Bloom Salon and can confidently say that everything about Bloom and their services go above and beyond. Every single person who works there is kind, professional and extremely talented. The first service i received was from Paige who threaded my eyebrows as well as tinting them along with my eyelashes. I personally go between threading and waxing with my eyebrows and was super pleased to find out that Paige the woman who has repeatedly without flaw done my eyebrows and eyelashes (tint and extensions) and body wax all perfectly and on the dot with nothing but care and along with amazing hospitality does both wax and thread! Paige is extremely professional, attentive, and spot on with every service she offers. I was blown away and beyond happy with how perfect every service I received that day turned out. Paige was attentive and effective with what look i was going for. The next service I received was color and bangs from Susan. Yet again I was blown away! Susan was spot on with all the little and big specifics i wanted done with my hair that day. The color was spot on and so was the style. The time and effort both Susan and Paige put in with me was top tier. Everything at bloom salon is off the charts phenomenal. I am beyond pleased to have a salon that offers countless exceptional services that i can count on.

I paid $60 for a tint and thread…. My eyebrows look the worst they have ever looked… the tint is awful… where is it?? The girl who did my eyebrows pulled all of her supplies out of a duffle bag while I was sitting in her chair… wasn’t even ready when I came in… she used rubbing alcohol and Vaseline… for $60 you’d think she be using some quality products… worst experience ever. And it took her 45 mins… the tint sat for 5 mins… would not recommend. Ever.

I followed Clementine to this new-ish salon in the Pointes because she does my nails beautifully. A thorough professional who clearly cares about her work, Clementine is friendly, welcoming, and kind. Elizabeth Preston at Bloom did a fantastic job converting my much longer, thin, aging hair into a short, curly younger style. She cut, she permed, she cut more and styled. It’s fantastic now, soft and much fuller in appearance. And so easy to take care of with the perm…just wet, scrunch it and let it dry. It came out looking just like the picture I showed her before we started. I can’t recommend Elizabeth at Bloom enough…she’s sweet, personable and really knows her job! The salon is a newer business in Grosse Pointe and one I plan on frequenting regularly in the future.

My experience with Susan Wright at Bloom Salon was fantastic! I have been seeing Sue for years to achieve that “impossible” silvery platinum blonde. It takes real skill to get my hair up to the level I want without damage and brassiness. I have always been impressed with Sue’s abilities, but it wasn’t until moving to Brooklyn, NY did I realize how lucky I was before. Many years down the line, and still searching for a comparable colorist in NY, I am still the happiest with my hair when I am back in Grosse Pointe and book my time with Sue.
