Received a haircut from Bishops recently to cut off my long hair and go back to a short pixie. The staff were all super friendly and fun to talk with, and very professional. The atmosphere is very fun and relaxing, if you get nervous in the typical stiff hair salon atmosphere. There is a lot of awesome art on the walls and the music selection is refreshingly not traditional pop. My stylist Allison was very knowledgeable and was able to tame my 2+ years of thick hair growth into a manageable and stylish cut. She did a wonderful job, and I can’t wait to go back! If you are looking for a place that respects your desire for a non-traditional cut, style, or color, this is the salon to go to.

I had a great experience at Bishops! It’s been such a struggle for me to find a place that will give me a cut that isn’t “feminine” and that actually allows me to express my gender the way I prefer. I actively went on the hunt to seek out LGBT friendly hair salons in the hopes that I could get a cut I actually liked, and I found one! Bishops had a comfortable, friendly, relaxing atmosphere. My stylist was very knowledgeable about the cut I wanted and I felt at ease with her. I left with a style I actually wanted!!! That’s never happened. So grateful to y’all.

My hair service was at 5:15 on 11/26/2022. My hairstylist told me her name but I forgot it because I suck! (my anxiety kills my memory) She was wonderful and helpful and lovely! I was so comfortable and I love my hair!! I finally have a hairstyle!!!! She really listened to what I wanted and made it ten times better and I feel wonderful. She also picked up on my social anxiety cues and didn’t force small talk but was kind and gentle when we did talk. I really appreciate what a wonderful job she did! Thank you!!!! I feel beautiful!

Had to get a haircut for an unexpected event. I was not able to get into my regular barbershop in time, so I was happy to find a shop that could get me in with just a few hours notice. I received a simple buzz cut, which was completed without issue. Most importantly, the staff was super friendly, upbeat and professional. Definitely will head back when I can’t get to my regular barber.
