Today I went to the shop late to get knotless braids- I called ahead of time and said I was going to be late from the time I called in which was 9:45 am but my appointment was originally scheduled at 9:30 am. I went into the shop and she aggressively questions why I didn’t answer my phone or text and I explain that my service is bad off of WiFi and I have to get a new phone soon. I tried picking up her calls but they dropped because my service is trash rn. She just gives me a dirty look after I explain that to her and asked for an additional $10 for being late which I said was fine, then aggressively asked me to sit down. She was super rude and took is very personal I showed up late and was being snippy with me. I asked her why is she so hostile when in the past I had appointments with her and she overbooked and had me waiting over 30 minutes to do cornrows and braids for other people coming in . She lied and said she’s never left anyone in the chair and her friend was defending her. I proceed to ask for my money back and by the 4th request she threw my money at me as I was sitting in the chair on my back side and told me to leave as if I wasted her time. The inconvenience I supposedly caused her is something she can’t admit she’s caused in past times. I didn’t have a problem paying the late fee and getting my hair done BUT she proceed to be snippy and take it personal that I was late. Bella that’s not professional! I went somewhere else with my service that does a better job of braiding for $180 in the Toledo area. I would not recommend their services to anyone. I’m personally not from here so my biggest mistake was not scouting around to find better shops. I’ll be letting my friends and colleagues from the University of Toledo and hospital know not to go here at all. Thanks for showing your professionalism and telling me to get into a car accident today after you got mad I cursed you out. Don’t throw money at me and expect respect.

I am a licensed cosmetologist who was tired today lol…They were quick to get hair done. I had my natural hair braided it took 3 hours! But I just wish they were a little more friendly. The prices are a little high but they do a very good job doing your hair! Hairstyling

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueSo I’m a white guy, but when I grow my hair long I like to get cornrows. I’ve done it twice previously in the past few years. The first two times I’ve had it done I was happy with the way it turned out, but after having it done by Crown(the owner of this establishment) I was literally shocked in the difference. Yes, the quality was better, I’ve gotten so many compliments on how nice they look and people wanting to know where I had them done. But also, the comfort level of my braids this time was the real shocker. I don’t know what exactly Crown did differently than the last two times I’ve had braids but I finally understand why people usually say you can leave them in so long! The braids were tight so they stayed looking nice even with my less than professional knowledge of how to maintain them, but they weren’t uncomfortable in the slightest, and what a HUGE difference that makes! The way she did them, the tightness was only ever directly on the braids themselves, never pulling anywhere else. I’m so pleased with the entire experience, during and throughout having them. While I was there waiting Crown was very accommodating to other customers that wanted specific things done, and she is able to do much more intricate types of hairstyles than the straight braids that I had done. If you’re looking to try something different or want to try a different stylist than you normally go to, I can’t recommend Bella Professional African Hair Braiding Toledo more. Thanks Crown!
