Dr. Kenneth Beer is a dermatologist practicing in the Jupiter and West Palm Beach areas of Florida. His practice, Beer Dermatology, has two offices serving the residents of the nearby areas. Dr. Beer has received two board-certifications; one in dermatology and the other in dermatopathology. This has made him one of the few cosmetic and surgical dermatologists to earn both. ACNE TREATMENTS
To treat current acne and to prevent scarring. Acne treatment should be initiated immediately to prevent permanent scarring. However, scarring can be corrected by various treatments including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, and surgery.

From the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles to the rejuvenation of the skin, we offer cosmetic treatments for patients including laser rejuvenation, chemical peels, and cosmetic injectables.
ITCHY SKIN
People are itching a lot recently and the number of patients that come to my office complaining about this is significant. Fortunately, many if not most of these people have simple issues such as dry skin, irritation or allergic reactions. A small fraction of them will have skin diseases that cause itching for reasons that are complicated but that require intervention. An even smaller number of these people have metabolic or systemic diseases that frequently go unrecognized. These may include cancers in other parts of their bodies or deficiencies that require supplements. Itching is almost always worse at night. The reason for this is that there is so much stimulation during the day that the nerves that conduct the sensation of itching are suppressed. Right around midnight, however, there is almost no distraction (none if you are married) and itching increases.
MALIGNANT MELANOMA
It is projected that this most virulent of all skin cancers develops on the skin of 32,000 Americans annually. And every year an estimated 6,800 Americans will die from melanoma. It is important to note that the death rate is at last declining, because patients are seeking help earlier. Melanoma, like its less aggressive cousins, basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas, is almost always curable in its early stages. Melanoma has its beginnings in melanocytes, the skin cells that produce the dark protective pigment called melanin. It is melanin that is responsible for suntanned skin, acting as partial protection against sun. Melanoma cells usually continue to produce melanin, which accounts for the cancers appearing in mixed shades of tan, brown and black. Melanoma has a tendency to spread, making it essential to treat.
SKIN CANCER TREATMENTS
More than one million skin cancers are diagnosed in the United States every year. An equal opportunity cancer, skin cancer can affect people of any race, sex or age. In fact, melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, is the second most common cancer in women aged 20 to 29. The good news is that when detected early, skin cancer has an almost 100 percent five-year survival rate. Research shows that most skin cancers are found by an individual. When people regularly check their skin for suspicious moles or lesions, they can literally save their own lives. However, it can be something that people overlook because they don’t have the knowledge or tools to perform monthly skin self exams. Skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers. Estimates vary on its occurrence but it is estimated that approximately 7,000,000 Americans develop skin cancer every year.
TOTAL BODY EXAMS
Total body skin examinations are performed by dermatologists (skin doctors) to search for any unusual or suspicious lesions or conditions on the skin surface. When examining people at high risk for skin cancer, dermatologists search for atypical or abnormal-looking moles that could be melanoma, and they also check any previous skin biopsy sites for signs of recurrence.

I saw Dr. Beer today for some Botox and a bit of filler. I have been seeing Dr. Beer for years from skin consults, skin products to cosmetic reasons. His skill is by far the best! Never any bruising and results are subtle. His own line of skincare products are the best ! I love his White Bamboo Exfoliator and his Vitamin C Ferulic Antioxidant Serum. It has seriously improved my skin texture and tone. Aging is a part of life but there’s nothing wrong with taking care of your skin and being happy with your results and doing little things along the way. Plus great genetics help . His office staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Connie is always pleasant and Ashtyn is a sweetheart! I highly recommend him!
