Melissa Brodeur’s love for the hair industry began over 16 years ago, specializing in blonding and multi-dimensional coloring as well as precision haircutting. She has a vast artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail from receiving training all around the world while traveling the country to educate fellow hair stylists for J Beverly Hills Colour and also educating on precision haircutting for Evolve Scissor Systems. She has also attained the prestigious honor of becoming an American Board Certified Haircolorist. Melissa will be teaching at the Global Hair Event for J Beverly Hills event in LA in October.

Melissa is a very kind and engaging stylist. My first visit with her I was very happy with her high skill level. My hair had been neglected for too long and so presented a few challenges. She cut and colored it so well and I loved it! My second visit I asked her to do the same with the color and let her know that I wanted to grow my hair out (so didn’t want to continue with layers). When she was ready to style my hair, she asked if she could curl it instead of straighten it. It looked good until the next day when I washed it. I was shocked to find I had some short layers on top- shorter than she had cut the first time she cut my hair. It looked really funny because the length of my hair was still long. So I had some short layers that didn’t blend with the longer part of my hair. I was going on vacation so couldn’t ask Melissa to fix it. When I found an experienced stylist on vacation to fix my hair, she told me that it looked like I had chemical damage to one section and that may be why the layers had been cut to try to match the damaged section. I don’t know if this is actually what happened but it makes more sense than having a really odd hair cut out of the blue. I now have much shorter hair than I wanted in order to get the layers to work and I’m so disappointed to need to find a different stylist.
