I used to live in Kew Gardens so I had purchased a package deal for facials. I worked with Dulce and she was fantastic. Because of the pandemic I didn’t go back and on top of that I moved far out on Long Island so I honestly forgot about my 2 facials that were left from the deal. Patrick and the spa reached out to me a few times to remind me I still had 2 facials left. Financially it didn’t make sense for them to remind remind me since I already paid for it, but that is why I decided to write this review because they are truly kind considerate people. Not only is the spa relaxing, tranquil, and clean but Patrick and the workers are just such good energy to be around. Highly recomend to anyone. Wish I still lived closer.

This place is great. Just had a massage with Joe, who was so kind, attentive, and informative. I have a hip injury that has caused me chronic pain, and Joe was very thorough in his evaluation, and let me know that often times the area of pain is not always the source. So, he quickly devised a plan to work on other areas he felt would help relieve the pressure I felt in my hip. I left feeling more relaxed and a lot less tense. I should also mention the place was spotless, and the front desk personnel were so welcoming. A refreshing change from all the spas in this area. I bought a package. I’ll definitely be back!

Every person in this establishment is extremely thoughtful & kind. The place is impeccably clean, shows quality in details and is pleasantly designed. I had 75min Ascend massage with Suzanne who – as it turned out – has dozens of years of experience; she took time to go over my concerns & areas I felt needed extra attention. I want to point out that usually when I ask for lots of pressure (deep tissue massage) I’m ready to experience some pain as a byproduct of it. With Suzanne I felt no pain at all, and yet I left rejuvenated (and positively surprised). Must be all these years of experience 🙂 Highly recommend.

I got a 60-minute massage with Joe & it was a wonderful experience! He went over everything before the session, and explained his process throughout the session as well. I like a deep/firm massage and he did a great job!! He was able to relieve a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, and back. It was my first time at Ascend & Patrick and Rita were so accommodating and kind. I will definitely be going back to Ascend and would recommend Joe to anyone- he was very efficient & the massage was perfectly relaxing!

My friend recommended this place and I had very high hopes for it. But my 100min Ascension massage session with Joe on 12 November turned out to be the worst massage session in my life, and I have been regularly going to massage sessions before moving to New York on weekly basis for over a year plus I have completed 60+ hours of basic massage training in the past. Not only did I leave feeling no more relaxed or less tense compared to before I came there, I have been experiencing pains in my knees after the session. Although I requested intense pressure, it was mild at best, plus the therapist wasted a good third of the time walking around the room between every other move. He didn’t really thoroughly massage any part of the body, and almost ignored one of the three problem zones I mentioned in the questionnaire I filled in and then discussed with him before the session. And, the cherry on top, it was impossible to relax because he clearly had a running nose and kept making slurping sounds non-stop throughout the whole session. Which is particularly questionable, given that this parlor insists on strict anti-Covid measures including wearing a mask pretty much the whole time (you wear a mask during the massage when lying face up, and when you are face down, there is a fabric filter attached to the hole for your face in the table), yet they allow a person who clearly has a cold to work massage sessions. I was so disappointed after this pathetic excuse of a massage session for $220, I almost cried. I am never going back and do not recommend this place. Or at least highly recommend not booking sessions with Joe. The fact that he was the only one with a free slot during the weekend should have been a red flag but I was naive enough to ignore this. I don’t know why the quality of the massage was so low, to be fair the therapist seemed to care about what he was doing and seemed competent, but the session proved to be absolutely inefficient and I left feeling that I just wasted $200+ and 2 hours of my time on nothing.

I love this place. The front desk staff is so delightful. I always get the best welcome ins. Not to mention, when i get a massage here, i get the best sleep of my life afterward. That’s why i go once a month. Self-care is worth every penny. And this place takes care of you.

My boyfriend and I both had an excellent experience. The staff are super nice and knowledgeable; you’re provided with a survey about your areas of concern and they are targeted accordingly. They take into account your medical history and preferences; the office is cute, fresh and clean.

I am of the opinion that you can tell a lot about a business by their bathrooms and the one I saw here at Ascend Day Spa was impressive. In perfect order, clean plus large and well-lit. There is a sauna and a shower there. I understand the sauna is not used now because of COVID rules.

I treated myself for my birthday and I had the most wonderful experience. This is my 2nd time here, but this was the best. Dolce was fantastic. She is definitely an expert in her craft. I did the Ascension spa treatment and the massage pressure was just right. By the end of the treatment we were laughing and talking like we were good friends. The only challenge is parking. I would definitely recommend Ascend Spa and Dolce.
