Angie’s Spa in Novato is clean and in a great neighborhood. Angie herself can give a good cookie cutter massage; she’s a good system, good touch, and ability to work firmly. I can’t speak to the other bodyworkers’ skill as it can be more miss than hit in the Asian massage boutiques in the SF Bay Area. It’s a good $45/hr full body massage. I’ve been numerous times. It’s convenient bc I can walk in and her studio is close to home. The downsides are the startlingly loud ring of the phone she brings into the room w her during my massage, the actual intrusions in my time/her attention as she answers the phone and schedules appointments and/or speaks w other employees. Also, there’s a language barrier, so the conversation of what bodywork is needed is mostly lost (I go bc of injuries and have a take what I get attitude.). I also find laying on a smallish towel, rather full sheet, rather cheap, but maybe that’s to save money/laundering and possibly time to dress the table btwn clients—althg it’s not very busy. 1star=eh; 2stars=OK, but subpar bodywork; 3stars good/good enough, but could improve; 4stars=great work w some kinks that need to be worked out; 5stars=cream of the crop w no complaints or issues.
