I had my nails done earlier today by a young man. I asked for a black V French Tip set and even showed him a picture of the design. He started to take the overlay off of my nails and as he was filing, the drill felt extremely hot and was hurting my nails. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he said he had just done the same set the day before and even showed me a picture. He began doing my nails but I noticed he was using clear powder. I requested he use pink powder and he said he would just use the pink clear gel over the powder. When I stated I wanted my nails shorter, the lady who was doing my gel pedicure was telling him no and to leave them long. I cannot have long nails at my place of work and if I am paying, the employees should not be arguing with me. Anyways, my nails were extremely crooked. He filed them at an angle at the top and the shape was not narrow like I requested (or like the photo) instead, they were square and wide. The V tip design was extremely thick and lumpy. One side of the V French was thicker than the other, and only one coat was applied so it’s transparent on some spots. Then he filed the color off on some areas at the end. On top of that, my pedicure was weird too because she painted my skin to make my nails look longer on my toes? I left extremely frustrated and upset. I called the manager, a pregnant woman, and requested a refund and she said I would have to come back for them to take them off if I was “so embarrassed that I couldn’t even be seen with them”. As if I would be lying about how bad they were. When I showed her the picture of how I wanted them her excuse was that it’s a hard design to do. As a manager, she had the worst attitude. She never once apologized. She was raising her voice at me and she had a tone that was jus very confrontational. They kept trying to convince me to accept a gift certificate but I made it clear I was not coming back. I was honestly afraid they would hurt me taking them off but the little older lady was very sweet and told me I could leave without them removing my nails. I got my money back but due to the managers attitude I just can’t even say that I’m satisfied with the resolution. I would never recommend this place. The pregnant woman has zero customer service skills. She’s lucky she was pregnant because I just did not want to stress her out by talking to her in the same way she was talking to me. Not to mention, my mother and her friend were here a couple of days prior and they also had issues with the way their gel pedicure & mani we’re done. Take your money and business somewhere else.
