I saw Tehra for a dramatic cut and color and she did such an amazing job. Absolutely relaxing environment and I cannot say enough about how great of a job she did on both my cut and the coloring. Bonuses were a glass of wine and scalp massage which were SO appreciated for this stay at home mama getting an afternoon to herself. Highly recommend this business and any of their stylists.

The uncaring, shallow, vain, and melodramatic staff make this salon a poor choice if you are wanting to treat yourself to an Aveda experience. I would recommend checking to see what mood any given staff member is in before proceeding with your haircut, because if any one of them is having a less than stellar day, they don’t have the strength of character to overcome it in order to give you the experience you are most certainly paying high dollar for. The place is rife with women who never matured past high school; therefore, while they know what they’re doing on a technical level, they don’t have the people skills to match that in order to provide a good experience. The few times I attempted to go in and give them a second chance (I try to support all local businesses) with multiple stylists always resulted in an uncomfortable 40-90 minutes of my life and money that could have been better spent. At this point, I will drive hundreds of miles elsewhere in order to get what I’m paying for than frequent this salon in the locality.

I have been going to Americana for >20 years. Some of that time I was travelling from Las Cruces, NM. For the last 13 years I have been driving over from Ft. Stockton (about 60 miles one way). Jenny and her staff take their craft very seriously. They are well trained and and extremely talented. If you have high expectations for your salon experience this is the place to go.
