She always explains what she’s about to do and how she’s going to do it and let’s me know what products we should have at home to keep care #1. She also carries various lines of products including her own, if you need to make a purchase right then, which is convenient! I’ve been taking my two younger children to AJ’s for over two years now and we were happy to have found her! She is very into hair AND scalp care. My daughter has lovely locs and son wears long handsome braids. AJ comes up with fantastic styles that we all love. She always explains what she’s about to do and how she’s going to do it and let’s me know what products we should have at home to keep care #1. Critical: Professionalism, PunctualitySuper nice but I experienced a lot of unprofessionalism. I waited in the lobby for 40 minutes while she finished someone else. No acknowledgement of her lateness when she came out to get me. Her website said my appointment would take 2.5 hours I was there for 4 hours. The products she used are nice quality but it took her 1hr to wash my hair. Only because she kept leaving the suite. She would leave for 20-30 minutes at a time throughout the time I was there without saying anything.She used the same comb on me that she used on the previous client without washing it. She didn’t wear a mask and didn’t give me the parting size I asked for despite showing her multiple photos.
