The barber was kind and it was reasonably priced, but unfortunately his hands are not steady. His shakiness resulted in crooked cut. He also didn’t really follow my requests very well either.

Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismAggie’s Barber Shop is my favorite barber shop in town. It is because of their relaxing place, not that much full of designs or stuff. I liked being simple or old school. Also, the barbers are high trained and will give you a good cut result.

Thomas is a nice guy who is great at cutting hair! He’s the most consistent barber I’ve found in Davis, and the only one I go to now. He’s not your typical chatty barber, but he’ll remember you and your cut and to me that’s what matters.

Thomas has been exclusively cutting my hair for over three years. He’s fast, affordable, and gives me exactly the cut I’m looking for. Nothing beats an old-school barber shop!

Barbers are inconsistent. Beware. The quality of service is truly binary. You will either be truly happy with the service or want to wear a hat for the next two weeks.

terrible would be an understatement. paid 35 dollars today for the worst shave of my life. my wife tried to spoil me with a hot shave at this barbershop. the barber started by triming my facial hair with electric clippers. this irritated my face as i dont use electrical clippers on my face. then he did a second pass with an electric shaver, one made for facial hair removal. now my face was feeling very irritated. he applied what looked like the end of the can of shaving cream on my face.the cream wasnt lathered well and most ended up running off my face and neck and onto my 40 dollar shirt. what didnt make it on me ended up on the floor, and let me tell you as he slid around holding that straight razor i was a bit concerned for my faces well being. he started to shave me with a straight razor and immediately began nicking my face right and left. literally seamed like every swipe of the blade equated to another cut. he went over the same areas at least twice with the straight razor before washing off what was left of the cream. as he shaved me he pulled my skin tight to help minimalize the nicks i suppose. it was an odd feeling i hadnt experienced with other shaves. his hands poked my eyes, went into my nose, and even my mouth. all in a failed effort to pull my skin tight. mind you i am 32 years old with great skin. the barber then lathered some fresh cream – for a second time, and relathered the areas he missed.. he knew he missed areas because he kept rubbing his hand accross my face in search of stubble. now he proceeded to reshave almost my entire face again. this time using hot cream and putting the chair in the reclined position. the shaving cuts continued and the bleeding was obvious. the barber forgot to lock the chair and as he leaned towards my face with blade in hand the chair rotated, he almost sliced my face with the razor. it was very unsafe, i could have been seriously injured. after he finishes his pass with the razor he begings putting a cream product on all the shaving knicks to stop the bleeding. one spot in paticullar took 3 applications of the product before the bleeding stopped. once he got all the places to stop bleeding (i stopped counting cuts at 12 places) he grabbed me a hot towel. the only half decent part of the whole experience was the hot towel. though even the towels had a kind of stink to them that was unpleasent. maybe time to throw them away, maybe time for fabric softener, i dont know. the temperature was about as hot as i could handle but would pribably be too much for some. the barber left the towel on for a short period of time and when he removed it he washed my face with it. the barber then tended again to all the wounds he had made with another round of the stop blood product. for the grand finale the barber put the after shave on and fanned my face with a towel. i have been shaving for call it 20 years and have never had a burn so sharp. felt like my face was in fire, and still i look red after 4 hours later. i gave the guy my cash and will never go back. i have went here before, i tip big and love the feeling of a haircut and hot shave. but to spend 50 bucks to get treated like junk isnt going to happen again. the barbers are nice people but that doesnt change the fact of how they treated me and my face.

I waited for him for 5 damn minutes on the seat so he can end his conversation with someone else, but then he couldn’t wait for my phone call for just 2 mins. Very disrespectful to customers. Doesn’t deserve any money. The best part is that when I told him that he kicked me off.

The two Vietnamese male barbers have been here for many years and are excellent at their craft. And most days there is only a short wait–or no wait at all ✔
