As a long-time member, I prefer this location of all the options in Knoxville. I’ve received excellent customer service consistently over the last 10 years, and the services and providers are fantastic at their craft. The space is always clean, which is very important to me. The manager, Angie, is very responsive and quick to help if I’ve ever had any questions or needed help sharing my credits with friends. Highly recommend this location!

There are only a handful of good massage therapists, and they’re great. But they only let you book one appointment a month, and half the time your appointment gets canceled the day before. So you either get stuck with a bad one or don’t get your massage – that you paid for – for the month. The front desk employee, Jessie, is EXTREMELY rude. I tried to speak with her about my frustration over the above situation and I can’t even describe the attitude. Zero willingness to work with me, apologize, or share an ounce of understanding over my concern. I said “so you’re not even going to apologize or say you understand?” She looked at me and slowly shook her head. And then she pointed to the managers business card. Supposed to come out of a massage relaxed, and I am anything but.

I love my therapist and really only have stayed with massage envy as long a i have because of her. Prices have increased twice in the last year and other rules have been implemented that make being a member not as attractive as it used to be.

Husband wanted to surprise me and his two daughters with a package deal and to his surprise he has been charged for 6 months but we didn’t get to use it. He thought the package started when you first went. They was very rude when call and wasn’t willing to offer any services just we could pay more and buy another package! The manager was who we talked to and was very rude and unhelpful. He received nothing saying it started from day it was purchased or anything just a packet of services thrown on him. Nothing that said start date or end date. Had called before and left message for someone to call us back which never happened. We had waited because of Covid until we felt safe to use it to just to be sold sorry you can’t! Never been day one! Definitely not customer oriented at all! So disappointed!!! Hate he paid all that money and we didn’t get to try any of the services.

Good luck ever actually getting any service from them. Been trying to get in since getting gift cards for CHRISTMAS 2021. Finally got fed up after trying for 7 months and asked if I could cash out the gift cards which they won’t. So now I’m stuck with worthless gift cards for a massage place that you can’t get in for a massage no matter how long in advance you try to schedule. Zero consideration for the customer’s time.

Avoid the contract at any Massage Envy! There were never any appointments available when I tried to book (at any location), so I went to cancel. Called the branch, filled out their cancellation form and returned by email as required. Several days went by and I hadn’t heard anything. I saw they again charged the monthly fee despite me returning the form. I called and was told it was because it takes 10 days to “process” cancellation (unbeknownst to me). So I asked for a refund of that month since I had already turned in the form and just want out. Was out on hold for a while, then got told no refunds are allowed since I have cancelled the membership. What?! This makes NO SENSE. Massage Envy is a total scam.

Angie at Cherokee Plaza location does a great job at handling consumer issues. They also have the best massage therapists and seem to have several deep tissue therapists compared to other locations.I have been to many different locations and find this location to be top notch and professional. Would highly recommend when deciding membership you do it at the Bearden location.
