Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Raul does not disappoint, he is incredibly talented! I have wavy curly hair and have been straightening it much of my life. Raul cut, colored and highlighted my hair. He taught me how to style my curls and love my natural hair, I am so thankful. This salon has a super rad vibe! I started with a color consultation with Raul and he was incredibly thorough. I was so excited to get back into his chair for the actual service. I have been in the process of allowing my gray to grow in and ultimately wanted to color my hair gray, but I hadn’t been able to find a stylist who could get the color right where I wanted it. That is, until I met Raul!! He nailed my color and it was even better that what I had anticipated. He took so much care and time to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. Raul had also cut my hair during that appointment, but I was having trouble styling it the way I wanted. Before I could call for a follow up, I received a text from him asking if everything was satisfactory. Let me say, that in all of my years of getting my hair cut and colored, I have NEVER had a stylist spend so much time on the consultation, service and then to FOLLOW UP afterwards to ensure I was happy?!? When I mentioned that I needed a bit more of a cut, he got me in the very next day!! (Again, WHAT?!? REALLY?!?) He made some modifications to my haircut and I walked out feeling (and looking) like a million bucks!! I am so delighted with the whole experience. The staff was amazing and Raul, an absolute rock star (oh and if you are into 80’s music, you are in for a treat, as Raul has amazing music knowledge and recall of the 80’s pop culture…a kindred spirit!). I would highly recommend Raul and The Electric Chair!

Raul and this salon are awesome!! I felt so comfortable sitting in Raul’s chair listening to what he thought i should do with my hair and just letting him work his magic. Not only did I get a great haircut, but had great communication and found he is very passionate about continuing education for hair and skin care. I’m really excited to try Aveda’s skin care system. Raul also called me to see how I liked my haircut, which I’ve never had a stylist do. Simply blew me away. I will continue to see Raul for as long as I can and hope any person reading this review will see him also.

Five stars for Raul!! Amazing. I got a 5 star treatment. I let him do his thing and walked out feeling like a million bucks. He knows his hair! Raul has an AMAZING KNOWLEDGE of the Aveda product line. I took my teenager with frizzy/curly hair in for a haircut. The products Raul recommended made all the difference with his hair. AND, I never would have considered his recommendations as a match for my son’s hair type. If you’re looking for a stylist that can help you understand which products will work best with your type of hair, Raul is a great resource. I suggest taking notes, he’ll give you A LOT of information. The haircut was also great!

I’m visiting Boise for work and desperately needed a haircut. I’m glad I went to Electric Chair Salon. Raul was awesome and gave me a great cut and taught me things about my hair I didn’t know. He was also fun to talk to as well. I would highly recommend going to see him if you need a haircut. Will definitely go back when I’m in Boise again.
