She is so knowledgeable because of her curly hair professional training (on top of regular hair school; some people say they’re curly but they’re not trained like her!) To put it in perspective of how amazing Marissa’s work is, I moved away from St. George in early 2021 and now live in Northern California but will still come back just so she can cut and style my hair. We are visiting from out of state and I have been desperate to find someone who could tame the wild toddler’s curls and not traumatize him. Marissa was amazing. She just let him walk around and play in her salon while she followed him and snipped his hair. She played with him and distracted him, and in the end we got a great haircut and no fear at all.
