3D Nipple Tattooing Jeff Paetzold began his career as a tattoo artist in 2001. He completed his apprenticeship in the suburbs of Chicago and quickly developed an active and vibrant tattooing career. After living and working in Atlanta for a year, Jeff continued his tattooing and artistry in the city of Chicago. His work grew to include an emphasis in cover up tattooing, work with scar tissue, and creating texture by mastering his use of light sources, color, and shadows.In addition to Jeff’s interest in art, he also always had an interest in the medical field, and was excited to become involved with Northwestern Specialists in Plastic Surgery (NSPS) in the summer of 2011 doing tattoos for breast reconstruction patients. His work at NSPS has been highlighted by an enthusiastic approach to using his refined skills in tattooing in order to contribute to improved reconstruction outcomes for our patients.
Abdominoplasty Generally, abdominoplasty removes fat and skin, and can also restore weakened or separated muscles. This can help create a smoother and firmer abdominal contour.Abdominoplasty can be performed using a variety of techniques. Excess fat in the abdominal area can be removed by liposuction, loose and sagging skin can be excised, and weakened or separated muscles can be repaired. If a combination of these conditions is present, multiple body contouring techniques can be employed during the same surgery.
Bellafill Bellafill® is a unique, injectable collagen filler with microspheres that can instantly smooth facial wrinkles (nasolabial folds) for beautiful, natural-looking correction that lasts. Bellafill® is a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) collagen filler. You can see visible correction with the very first treatment. The collagen in Bellafill® provides immediate volume and lift while the PMMA microspheres remain in place and create a matrix that supports collagen production in your skin for lasting improvement.
Body Contouring Following any major reduction in weight, the skin and tissues often lack elasticity and cannot conform to the reduced body size. As a result, the skin is unsupported and can sag in pockets, often leading to an unappealing appearance. This skin is also more prone to infection which may need to be treated.In general, body contouring removes excess skin and fat left after dramatic weight loss. The result of surgery is a smoother more proportionate appearing body. It can act as an important adjunct to your body and lifestyle changes, and can prove very rewarding for many patients.
Botox BOTOX® Cosmetic is the trade name of Botulinum Type A, a powerful, highly purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which safely and effectively treats wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. The product relaxes the tiny muscles in the face responsible for wrinkles that come from facial movements such as frown lines, worry lines, crow’s feet and frown lines. This helps smooth the appearance of these wrinkles and gives the skin a softer, more youthful look with results that typically last 3-6 months.
Brazillian Butt LIft There are many ways to improve the contour and shape of your body. If you are bothered by excess fat deposits in all the wrong places, liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks may be a good option for you. In plastic surgery, this is commonly referred to as the Brazilian Butt Lift. Generally, liposuction slims and reshapes the body contours, improving lines and proportion. This allows us to remove the fat from areas where we do not want it. This is common in areas such as the stomach, waist, and inner thighs. Once we have removed the fat, we can process it and use it for natural shaping in areas that we want to add more volume. By redistributing this fat to the buttocks, we can create a curvy, shapelier appearance to the midline and waist. This is a way to use your own natural fat to augment your buttocks, rather than using unnatural materiel or implants. This leads to safer outcomes, and a more natural curvature to your waistline.
Breast Augmentation Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammaplasty, is a very popular and common procedure that can increase your breast size by one or more sizes. By surgically inserting breast implants beneath the breast tissue or the chest muscle during breast augmentation, women can achieve larger, shapelier breasts. This type of breast enhancement is sometimes performed in conjunction with a breast lift. Performing an augmentation along with a breast lift can create a breast that has more upper pole fullness, which is often desired. For some women, breast augmentation is a way to enhance self-image and self-confidence. For others, breast augmentation is part of breast reconstruction after surgery for breast cancer or other conditions affecting the breast.
Breast Lift As a result of weight loss, pregnancy, breast feeding, or simply aging, women may find that their breasts lose shape, firmness or fullness. Breasts may settle at a low position and look hollow or emptied out in the upper portion of the breast. This can affect a woman’s self-image and confidence.If you notice these changes in your breast and desire to restore the firmness and shape or your breast, a breast lift (mastopexy) may be right for you. If you have lost significant volume, the lift procedure can also be combined with the placement of a breast implant.
Breast Reconstruction Breast reconstruction after partial or complete removal of breast(s) can be a very physically and emotionally rewarding procedure for many women. It offers the ability to not only create a new breast, but also can dramatically improve a woman’s self image, self-confidence, and quality of life.Reconstruction of a breast can be accomplished through many different plastic surgery techniques. The best procedure for your breast reconstruction depends on your goals for reconstruction and your medical history. Overall, the results of breast reconstruction can be relatively natural in appearance and feel; however, a reconstructed breast will never look or feel exactly the same as the breast that was removed.Breast reconstruction typically involves several procedures performed in multiple stages. It can begin at the same time as mastectomy or may be delayed until a patient has healed from mastectomy and recovered from any additional cancer treatments that may be necessary.
Breast Reduction Women with large breasts often experience pain, discomfort, and embarrassment. Large breast volume can lead to problems with the back, neck, and shoulders, and can often interfere with day to day life. Conditions associated with large breasts include indentation from bra straps and hunched shoulders, restricted physical activity, skin irritation beneath the breast crease, and sagging and stretched skin. Reducing breast size can improve comfort, posture, and self-confidence.Breast reduction surgery is generally considered a reconstructive procedure, and is often covered by insurance if carried out in treatment of medical symptoms.Most commonly, breast reduction is accomplished through removal of excess breast tissue and skin through incisions in a keyhole incision pattern. The nipple is then repositioned and the areola reduced, and the skin is brought back together to reshape the smaller breast. In some cases, liposuction is also used to reduce breast volume.
Dysport Prescription Dysport® is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas. Eyebrow Microblading Microblading is a new semi-permanent makeup technique that fills brows in, darkens or reshapes them by drawing on tiny lines that look like individual hairs. Microblading is different from tattoos because, instead of a needle, a small blade is used to manually draw hair like strokes onto the skin.
Eyelid Surgery Eyelid surgery can correct excess skin, tissue, and fat to reveal a more youthful appearing eye. Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), depending on your goals, can be performed on the upper eyelid, lower eyelid, or both. If desired, this procedure can also be combined with other cosmetic procedures to accomplish the desired results.
Facelift Aging can lead to loss of tone, elasticity, and firmness in the face and neck, leading to wrinkles and sagging tissue. This product is composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occuring substance that can be found in the body normally, and provides volume and binds moisture beneath the skin. There is very little risk of allergic reaction with JUVÉDERM, as it is completely biocompatible and biodegradable. At our Chicago plastic surgery practice we provide both JUVÉDERM® Ultra and JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus. JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus is harmlessly eliminated by the body over 9 to 12 months, while JUVÉDERM® Ultra typically lasts 6 to 9 months.

Liposuction Liposuction, also called surgical lipectomy or lipoplasty, is the surgical removal of excess fatty tissue. Traditional liposuction uses suction to remove excess fat. Often, liposuction is assisted by infusing fluid prior to fat removal. This fluid contains medications that reduce pain and also can reduce bruising. Recent advancements in tissue removal have considerably improved our ability to sculpt the body with liposuction. With better understanding of safe techniques, we are now able to offer SAFELipo®, which offers the ability to be more aggressive with fat removal without the risk for suboptimal contours postoperatively. Radiesse RADIESSE® is a dermal filler that is primarily indicated for use around the mouth and chin. RADIESSE® is composed of calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. This unique formulation allows RADIESSE® to stimulate the production of your body’s own natural collagen. Once the gel carrier is broken down by the body, the calcium microspheres remain, and the body creates a network of collagen fibers around them. Eventually, the microspheres dissolve, but the network of collagen fibers remains, adding volume at the treatment site. Results from RADIESSE may last up to a year or more in some patients.
Reconstructive Head and Neck Surgery After excision of head and neck cancer, many patients are left with structural and functional debilities that can interfere with body image and also the ability to carry out activities of daily living. Through plastic surgery procedures, structural and functional restoration can be achieved.Smaller defects can be closed using sutures or closed by pulling local skin into the area of the defect. Larger defects, however, may require regional flaps of tissue to close the defect. In the neck, the pectoralis muscle can be used. In the face and mouth, free flaps (tissue separated from the body) may be used.Depending on the location of your head or neck cancer, our surgeons will discuss the available tissue options for repair. In many cases, reconstructive surgeries may require multiple surgeries to be accomplished after your cancer has been removed.

There is very little risk of allergic reaction with RESTYLANE, as it is completely biocompatible and biodegradable. RESTYLANE® is harmlessly eliminated by the body over 6 to 9 months.
Rhinoplasty The nose is a very central and prominent feature of the face. Disproportions in the nose can affect self-image and confidence. Additionally, patients can experience breathing problems caused by nasal stricture. In both of these instances, surgery of the nose may be a good option.Nasal surgery can reduce or increase the overall size of the nose, remove a hump, decrease the span of the nostrils, alter the bridge or tip of the nose, change the angle between the upper lip and nose, or correct nasal deformities or structural abnormalities that cause breathing problems. If you have breathing problems, surgery of the nose is considered reconstructive and may be covered by insurance.
Sculptra Sculptra® Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic acid which is a synthetic substance that has been shown to be both biocompatible and biodegradable and has been safely used by physicians for many years in surgical sutures. It is used to add volume to the face by replacing collagen that has been lost with age. Unlike other dermal fillers, Sculptra treatment is a gradual process, with results that emerge over several months. Sculptra acts as a stimulatory volumizing agent, meaning that it actually stimulates your body to create new collagen and thicker, more youthful skin. A full treatment of Sculptra Aesthetic can involve up to 3 injection sessions over a few months, with results that can last up to 2 years. The diffuse volumizing effect and the gradual onset give patients treated with Sculptra® a uniquely natural look.
