Always obsessed with my hair when I leave! Extensions are top quality! Staff is super friendly! James is the best and always knows the best products for my specific kind of hair. I’ve been getting a Brazilian blowout every 6-8months with him and it is SO worth it. My hair is naturally frizzy and it helps so much in the Chicago weather.

I have seen Lauren twice now. Both times at her previous place of work. I initially chose her out of convenience, as her old place of work was attached to my building, but she was so incredibly wonderful that I will happily be seeing her a Neon Avenue the next time I need a haircut. I’m not the best at describing what I want and she immediately told me what she thought would be best. It was exactly what I wanted. She’s attentive and detailed, but also kind and gentle. If you want someone who is going to pay attention to you and give you exactly what you want (or better (but only after she made sure it was okay)) she’s the one you want.

The place was great, clean and offered beverages when we arrived but when it comes to hair coloring, Carla Steep is the best in the business. Critical: Professionalism, QualityI had to go organize my hair because I have an important presentation this week. However, there were a lot of people waiting and cutting the hair where I used to go and I was so urgent, so I went to neon Avenue Salon located in the same building.Even though there was no one came to cut their hair, the man who looked like the manager decided to have the female staff cut my hair. I told the female staff I would like to keep my hair long so just trim my hair, please. As far as I know, trim means just cutting hair a little bit, however, she started to ask me how do you want to trim? So I said a little bit. However, even she heard what I said, she started curing my back hair really short that I did not even notice until I saw it. At that moment I knew something was going really wrong. I told her is this trim? But she said nothing. I had no idea what to do…. I really tried to tell her how to cut and what to do to fix this problem, however, she kept messing it up. I ended up with really really weird and terrible short hair which looks like a child cut my hair. Now I have to wear a hat all the time and I have no idea what to do for presentation, also have no idea how I’m gonna live like this now own… I’m like a person who can’t get angry with another person, so I was not able to do anything. Neon Avenue is amazing! All the staff is very friendly. It’s in a great location and the views are beautiful! The decor is very cozy and you feel right at home. I have always been offered a beverage of my choice to enhance the relaxing experience. James is my go to. I’ve been to a number of salons, and no one ever got my hair quite right. I would tell them what I wanted, but it never turned out as I envisioned it. James always listens to exactly what you want, and he also explains to you what he will be doing and teaches you the process of how he is going to get the results you want . I leave feeling like a new person and I always get so many compliments on how great my hair looks. He has really perfected his craft over the years, and he is just amazing at what he does. I can’t imagine going to anyone else.
