Covid Precautions: Masks required, distanced stations and no waiting area to reduce the number of people in the salon at one time. Hair salon located on the edge of Chapel Hill. We specialize in hair color, balayage, traditional foils, baby lights. We also specialize in hair extensions and thinning hair enhancement. We offer Olaplex and Brazilian Bond building treatments as an add on to any color service. Our staff trains in and out of the salon. We have a large variety of hair styling products available for purchase to support your hair between visits. Consultations are encouraged if you are trying something new or have questions regarding process, treatments, extensions or price.

I had my first haircut at Urban Fringe yesterday with Lynae and love it! My overall experience was terrific, and I already booked my second appointment. The salon is easy to get to, there’s parking, the staff is friendly, and the hair washing stations are super comfy. Plus I got an awesome head message/hair wash, cut, blow out, and flat iron. Feeling gorgeous! I went back days after my haircut for a shellac manicure with Erika, and also love my nails. Erika suggested a color that I would not have picked on my own, and I’ve received several compliments.

Tiana is a color genius! Truly an artist. My hair has been 5 different colors in one year and not only has she been able to achieve every single color that I wanted she has managed to do it without drying out my hair at all!
