I realize that sometimes we get behind, but I’ve been here several times and they are NEVER on time. Always behind. It’s just unprofessional. And they seem so unaffected by it. Like it isn’t a big deal. People have jobs too. We schedule these appointments accordingly. For you to be consistently behind SHOULD BE unacceptable. But it seems to be the norm…..

Everytime I’ve been to an appointment, I’ve never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. The PA I see is wonderful. She’s very friendly, knowledgable, and thorough. I’d highly recommend this business to anyone looking for dermatology.

My 3 years old daughter (Hannah) had a burn wound on her ankle. Once our physician from Novant Pediatric made a referral to PPS&D, I called in to PPS&D. I was instructed by Jennifer (the person handling referral) that PPDS you,d call me to set the schedule once the referral went through.

My experience at PPD has been amazing. Every experience involving staff, scheduling, bedside mannerisms, follow-up, professionalism has met my every expectation. I would highly recommend PPD. Special 5 star reviews go to Saira Nova, Dr. Gregory Mantooth and his wonderful surgical tech. All has been truly amazing. I am 100% happy with my care from day 1, and I am still in follow-up mode. Hope this review helps others who are considering your facility. A heartfelt THANK YOU!

Update: The office wanted me to come I and see what he could do. I went in Dr Timmons didn’t want to discuss my issue with the surgery he want to talk about my review. He belittle me and had me so upset I was crying. The stormed out if the room and told the nurse to talk some since into me.

I do not recommend this dermatology office. If it works for those who already are regulars here then fine but for those who have not, I do not recommend. First of all, when making my appointment and providing my insurance information, I was not told that they didn’t accept my insurance and am now forced to pay deductible for the services, or lack thereof, that I received there. I saw Dr. McLeod and no professional opinion was obtained through my visit. I literally told the nurse the issues I was experiencing and when the doctor arrived, she basically reiterated what I said and started recommending a bunch of products well over $200.00. I don’t know nor do I care if it was due to covid, but the doctor never physically examined my skin to verify if the products she was recommending would work for my skin. If quality of service is lacking because of covid, then office bill charges should be greatly reduced as well. I will NEVER return.

Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology was recommended by our primary physician I’m glad he did but I must say they are very busy. My appointment was made on April 23, I saw my primary on March 30. The sign in and sign out desk had lines, the staff was very pleasant doing the best they could with two processing patients coming and going. Dr. McElgunn was pleasant and precise examined my problem gave me two an over the counter solutions and one prescription called into my pharmacy. I was surprised my last encounter with a dermatologist was there’s nothing to worry about but we have creams for you to try that should help, it cost me $185.00 just for the creams purchased from the office. This experience was delightful my follow up is not for 8 weeks it’s been three days and I see improvement already.

The staff is pleasant, but there is a lot of confusion with this office. Perhaps it was due to the COVID -19 interference with the normal daily routine, but my experience here was frustrating. My daughter was taking a government control acne medicine. It required coordination between the Dr’s office and pharmacy. We were transferred from one doctor to another which was fine. The first doctor went on personal leave. The second Dr’s staff could not get my daughter’s medicine loaded for questions that needed to be answered. As well each time we went to the pharmacy to pickup the medicine, there was always confusion which resulted in a wasted trip.

Dr.McELgunn is awesome. He provided me the best procedure I couldn’t get elsewhere. He is very congenial, kind and compassionate and knows everything about your body. I thank him for helping me with a problem I have had for years. He quickly assessed it and took care of me in just minutes.
