I got medium length knotless box braids. The braids are between small and medium width. I love them! They charge a bit more but they do include the hair. I was in and out in under 4 hours. They were friendly and made sure I was satisfied with the first braid before continuing. Also the salon was clean. They do talk loud and in a different language most of the time but that’s the norm when going to a salon ran by foreigners. Overall, I would recommend this salon for basic braid styles.

They do very good with their dreads and styling. They were doing my hair for years. Suddenly this year, I can’t ever get in contact with them! I left a voicemail message, I’ve sent them texts, and they’ve all been met with the same result: NO RESPONSE! Nowadays, their voicemail is full and you can’t even book an appointment with them. I find that very unprofessional. After 2 years, they have lost my business. I have found another loctician that I can actually book an appointment with.

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityThis place is the worst place to get your hair done. They do not clean any of the combs and when it came time to wash my hair they didn’t even have a proper chair to lean back into the sink! They mad me use a regular chair which did not support my neck which made it very uncomfortable. My first and last time coming here. They also upcharge if you don’t come washed and blow dried. I had to pay an extra $15 to have my hair washed and blow dried. The hair braiding lady is also very rough and braids extra tight. Positive: ProfessionalismI hadn’t gone for my daughter’s appr, but Ms Yama was very professional when returning my phone call. My 14 yr wanted butterfly locs and I mentioned that my child was very tendered headed and her advice was not to get the locs but box braids instead. Professionally she could have said come in and I will do the locs and take my money but ethically she give me her honest opinion and that counts for me. Honesty and truth always a winning hand. My 14 yr wanted butterfly locs and I mentioned that my child was very tendered headed and her advice was not to get the locs but box braids instead. I went to this salon to get senagelese twists. Within about 2 weeks of having the hair, 2 braids have fallen out, and multiple other braids have unraveled while they were still in my head because the ladies did not tie them at the ends. I ended up having to go somewhere else to have them rebraided and tied so they wouldn’t unravel again, on top of the 250 that I paid at Esquisite to have them done. Not the best experience.

I’ve been to this shop twice and it’ll probably be the only place I go to get a protective style in Columbus. Very polite, fast and good quality of work. Definitely recommend! The only critic I would make is that I don’t like adding heat to my hair and she had to blow dry it before braiding. I just recommend you come with your hair prepared for styling the way you like it.
