I took an appointment for 1.15 pm initially, then I called to reschedule it to 4.45 pm. The lady who took my appointment CONFIRMED that my appointment is at 4.45 pm. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have Italian, ethnic curly hair, to the point where people mistook me for African American from behind. I came in for a root touch up, olaplex bond treatment, and thermal blow dry with a haircut. The only way my stylist will cut my hair is if she straightens it, so that the ends are all cut and as healthy as possible. I have never been so happy with a color/cut combo as I am when I get it done at Billie Jeans (by Kathy, in case you were wondering who worked her magic on my dry, frizzy hair). You will be so pleased with the results if you decide to try this local treasure. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the facility is brand new and sparkling, and the service is amazing. I have Italian, ethnic curly hair, to the point where people mistook me for African American from behind. I came in for a root touch up, olaplex bond treatment, and thermal blow dry with a haircut. The only way my stylist will cut my hair is if she straightens it, so that the ends are all cut and as healthy as possible. Critical: ProfessionalismI wouldn’t be able to speak on the quality of the stylists, because I was never allowed an appointment. I called the only number provided, and the woman that answered seemed very flustered and offended that I would ask to schedule an appointment without naming a specific stylist. I explained that I had just moved to the area, and so hadn’t been to the salon before and couldn’t provide a specific stylist. She told me that they were booked fairly full, and I said that that was fine and I was willing to schedule further out, but she refused to give me any open dates, saying the stylists sometimes schedule their own appointments and she wouldn’t want to double book them. This was a bit confusing to me, since the website didn’t appear to have contact information for specific stylists, simply a number for the salon, and there was no way to schedule online. She offered, in a fairly irritated tone, to take my name and number and try to find a time for me. Of course, I never got a call back. Whoever I spoke to seemed to think the salon was some exclusive LA joint. You’re located in Millersville, Pennsylvania. It’s a subpar college town with nothing but strip malls and access to a small city, so I’m not quite sure where the superiority complex stems from. Being booked up is completely understandable, but speaking to a potential client like they’re beneath you and your business doesn’t seem like a good way to conduct oneself. I wanted to get a quality hair cut before my husband returned from being deployed; I haven’t seen him in over 6 months. After my brief experience with this salon, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
