I have been going to Richard for over 11 years off and on. Today, he charged me $5:00 for taking gel polish off because I didn’t put gel polish back on! He owed me a $5:00 discount he never made good on. I brought him business and he has changed so much! He is so money hungry! He lost 2 people today that will never go back. I made an appointment so I wouldn’t have to wait but I had to wait anyway! If someone comes in for eyebrows he always jumps up leaving you sitting there and never says I will be back or anything! One of his bathrooms has been out of order for months and his drying table doesn’t work properly! He lost money today that he will not recoup. I usually don’t express my feelings but he done me wrong! This is Fashion Nails & Tan in Newton! I hope he doesn’t treat other people this way! If you go, Good Luck!

My nails look like chicklet gum. Tonya did my nails and I told her time and time again that I did not want my nails thick… I like them a certain way. Always leave satisfied with their service. I’m a diabetic and they help me take care of my feet and the massages with the pedicures are amazing and even help with circulation in my legs and feet. I don’t do it for fashion at all I do it for my health. More men ought to try it especially if you’re a diabetic. Critical: Professionalism, QualityDon’t do it, keep on looking for places. The old women there is rude as all get out. I went on my lunch break and CALLED before I came. I just wanted my sns nails taken off and then painted. I had 40 min to do that.( I told her this) I got down to only 10 min before needing to leave and go back to work & I told her just put the clear coat on because I won’t have time for anything else. I had to go. She insisted she could get me done in time. Well she didn’t and I told her I REALLY needed to leave and she got I’ll and grouchy with me telling me I should have called first while she was snatching my Receipt out of my hands before I could sign it. Absolutely love this place. Tonya is the only manicurist I go to and she is amazing. If something happens to your nails before your next fill date they are quick to fix it and make it better. Their prices are amazing too. I will not go anywhere else!

I don’t even want to give a star but I will because I have to in order to write a review. First of all when me and my mom walked in they didn’t greet us and handed us the nail polish remover so that we could take our polish off. That right off the bat was a turn off because where we normally go they take the polish off for you and don’t charge. The other salon we go to was packed so we decided to try a new place. Well, we sat and took our polish off. Another lady was in front of us but we were okay with that because they weren’t as busy as our normal salon. After waiting 10 minutes another customer comes in and asks one of the nail techs if they have time for a full in. That right off the bat told all of us in the room she didn’t have an appointment. She sits down in the waiting chairs with us and 15 mins roll by. By this time another nail tech was free and took the last customer that walked in skipping me, my mom and the lady waiting before us. I assumed because she was a regular customer she took priority over us but I don’t think that was right. The proper order of service is first come first serve like it is everywhere else. I just thought this was very rude and unprofessional. After this we went back to our normal salon and decided to wait because we did not want to give them any of our money. I am always observant anytime I go to a new salon. Not only that they can’t sit in their chairs long enough to finish your nails. They hop from one customer to the other and stop and do other things while working on your nails. I will also say their polishs are kind of outdated and you won’t find the variety of other polish colors or brands like OPI etc. I will NEVER go back to this salon and I don’t recommend anyone else to either.
