I came across this salon through yelp and google and was so glad that I decided to make my first appointment with them a little over 2 years ago. I have been seeing Mark for balayage, toning, and hair cuts, & I am always left very happy! Mark is very professional, gentle, and personable! He has always looked out for me by giving me his professional opinion, by listening, and setting a realistic expectation of what can be achieved based on my hair history and current state of my hair. I also love how he always includes me with the decision-making process & will check in to see if it is the right color that we were trying to go for, or the right amount of layers or length for my haircut! It is to the point that I don’t really need to show him a photo of what I want b/c he hits the bullseye right on every time! This salon has left such a wonderful impression on me. The salon is very clean, sleek, and well-organized with their scheduling. Also, the staff are very genuine & it’s important to note that this team is filled with hard-working individuals who really shine at what they do! Thank you Maru Hair Salon!

My hair is on the thicker side and it can be a pain to work with sometimes. But Riley was very patient and he made the entire process enjoyable! A day well-spent :)Also, love the vibes at the salon. Brooklyn is the best!! I’ve been going to Brooklyn for a little over half a year now and I’m consistently impressed with the quality of her work. Yesterday, she both colored and cut my hair and I absolutely LOVE it. She gave me a billion highlights to go light blonde for the summer but added in some brilliant golds to warm it up. And the cut is great too! She totally listened to what I wanted but gave some of her own ideas to spice it up. The collaboration came out beautiful! Can’t wait to see what we come up with next 🙂

My favorite stylist is Riley. He sincerely got me addicted to blowouts. As a recovering blond, he listened to my needs and aspirations (the bigger the hair, the closer to God) and executed while winning me over with banter. This is my 2nd blowout in 2 weeks as they gave me a perfect beach wave for a trip to Napa. Today we did a hydrating nourishing treatment and he did his magic again. I have extremely thick & wavy Asian hair which is extremely rare and difficult to work with; plus, I haven’t touched my hair since November 2019 (save for the disastrous pandemic bangs I gave myself).
