Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueFirst off, THEY HAD ME COME FOR A CONSULTATION, I explained I had previously used box color in my hair, at or about 6 months prior to my visit, and talked to her to insure she could lift the color, she agreed and said she could, I also would like to add that I asked for her to use CHARCOAL bleach, because I know it brings a more ashy tone and is good for using on darker hair, none of which was taken into consideration, I was doing a half and half color, half blonde half black.She put bleach all over half of my hair, and left it in a hair cap for a while, long enough for her to disappear and not ever saying she would be returning shortly, before I knew it, my hair was pink. Horrible bubble gum pink, I was devastated.she tried to then convince to color it bubble gum pink. Absolutely not. She told me we couldn’t lift it further, which I understand , but then we agreed to do half ruby red & half black, using Demi permanent color.Within 3 days of my appointment the color has faded to an brown orange color, my half and half is not center parted like I had asked, and as well I asked her to wax my eyebrows, they were so uneven, so so noticeably uneven that my boyfriend seen my after I got them done and agreed that they were super uneven, personally I don’t feel as though they are up to date and standard with their beauty products, and I feel as though they never furthered there career path in cosmetology, just got the license and choose to only do what you know instead of branching out the learn better alternatives! LIKE CHARCOAL LIGHTENING. And I was charged 120 and still tipped 20 after we both knew she just messed up the hair I’ve worked so hard to grow out !I wish she could’ve been open and honest and said she wasn’t qualified but she then went on the blame me and say that the color I had in my hair previous caused this, when I hadn’t colored in over 6 months, and we did a consultation for a reason, for you to see if you could do it. Becca does such a good job and also not to mention she will walk you through the process and will be open and honest through out all of it. I was then taken to the chair and discussed what i wanted done prior to my shampooing. The salon was clean, bright and cozy. Leanna was my stylist and did a great job with my cut and blow out. I just had a trim and some layers added to my hair. Left the salon feeling fresh and bouncy with my new cut! Will definitely return for my next cut and even try a coloring service. Arrived for my first appointment 10 minutes prior. Was greeted, had some questions asked and then my temperature taken. I was then taken to the chair and discussed what i wanted done prior to my shampooing. The salon was clean, bright and cozy. Leanna was my stylist and did a great job with my cut and blow out. I just had a trim and some layers added to my hair. Left the salon feeling fresh and bouncy with my new cut! Will definitely return for my next cut and even try a coloring service. Loved Leanne, highly recommend her!

Critical: ProfessionalismI came in specifically with a picture on how I wanted my hair, it was a balayage cut and blow dry. As the worker named Julie was so unprofessional she started doing my hair, she was doing alright before but then after she washed my hair completely turned out orange I was completely in tears she ruined my hair I didn’t asked for part of my hair to be colored and she insisted. My mother also got her hair done she got a full color they way she did her hair was so unprofessional she made her sit at least an hour for the color to sink in her head stared burning even after she washed it, she went on to style her hair she specifically asked to have her hair curled she used a flat iron to curl it. From just a quick trim, to a full coloring these girls can handle it all. My girlfriend and I are always greeted with smiles and hello’s. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a service, if there is any wait at all. The waiting area is always very clean and the entire salon is spotless. Since I have started getting my hair cut at this salon, I have never once gotten it done anywhere else. The Cutting Crew in Newton, NJ has an incredibly professional staff along with the ability to provide to you basically any service you could ever need. From just a quick trim, to a full coloring these girls can handle it all. My girlfriend and I are always greeted with smiles and hello’s. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for a service, if there is any wait at all. The waiting area is always very clean and the entire salon is spotless.
