I haven’t been to a salon since Covid started (2019) and my hair got really long and damaged from when I had my hair bleached on 2018. I went here and told the owner I wanted to dye my hair and of course a haircut. I told her the color that I want and it’s up to her what she thinks would look good for me haircut wise. It didn’t disappoint. I love my hair, it feels lighter and even smoother. It definitely boosted my self esteem.

Jay is the sweetest and is truly in her natural element cutting hair. She instinctively knew what I wanted after looking at just a few pictures. I cut my hair short and was nervous, but she really made it perfect! 10/10 stars if I could. She opens her shop up just like a home and takes good care of you. Such a beautiful soul. I am new to the area and went to a hair salon recommended to me in November. I had a disastrous haircut at that salon in Pacific Grove. I feel so fortunate to have found Jay ! She spent over an hour recutting my hair and instinctively knew what I liked. It was a healing process for me to have a hairdresser who knows her trade. I have found this a very comfortable, clean salon owned by most sweet personable lady. You know you are in the right place when you don’t have to tell her how to cut your hair. Her talent shows on difficult short cuts and you can tell she’s a true artist who loves her work. A “win, win” when you leave the salon with a smile on your face…. but I will keep it my secret !!!

I have followed this talented lady from salon to salon until she finally bought her own place, Sunshine Salon. A haircut appointment usually lasts an hour. She is a perfectionist that listens to you and has great ideas of her own. She is a wonderful, kind soul that has become not only my hairstylist but a dear friend. You will love her.
