Positive: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI’ve been going to Alma Bella for about six months. However, I’ve gone to Lauren Cochran (a stylist there) for almost two years now. I keep booking with Alma Bella (specifically Lauren) because they make me feel relaxed, at home, and I always leave smiling. I’ve gone from blonde, to a light caramel brown, to a dark dark brown, and I currently have a nice brown balayage. Lauren works with my specific hair needs and has always done a phenomenal job (also her hair is super awesome and I’m jealous I can’t rock it…). The salon itself is gorgeous and I always feel so high-profile when I’m in the lobby. I’ve always enjoyed getting my hair done, but Alma Bella takes it to a new level. I’ve been going to Alma Bella for about six months. However, I’ve gone to Lauren Cochran (a stylist there) for almost two years now. I keep booking with Alma Bella (specifically Lauren) because they make me feel relaxed, at home, and I always leave smiling. Critical: QualityOuch!I have had extensions for over 5 years and this was the worst job of blending I have experienced. Had to return to have my hair processed a second time. Like many women who get extensions I have fine/thin hair… and not much of it. Though I appreciate her fitting me in and attempting to correct the mismatch I would have been better off going to another salon. The stylist was literally ripping my hair out by the roots and leaving it in clumps on the floor. When I remarked on how much was being torn out I was told “that is just the ends”. Last I checked, all hair is the ends, and unless you are cutting it, it should not be in clumps on the floor.I also provided extensions with a rooted base to match my natural color. This is to help camouflage the top layer of extensions. The stylist instead placed the non rooted extensions at the topmost layer.Very sad.Ouch!I have had extensions for over 5 years and this was the worst job of blending I have experienced. Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityUnprofessional wait time and service. Not a single stylist, employee or customer was wearing a mask, despite there being a posted sign that they are required. Clients and customers were drinking Starbucks while working. No concessions to health or safety.
