I have been following Lee Houchen from salon to salon for about 6 years. For the last 2-3 she has been at My Hair Studio in Cromwell. Though inconveniently located for me, she is worth the drive. The hair salon is clean, updated and always looks nice. Lee is professional, does a great job and is always fun to chat with. She listens to my ever changing hair woes and comes up with great solutions. When I was trimming my own bangs back in April, 2020, she even texted me advice. The salon owner, My, is often there and seems lovely. I highly recommend both Lee and this studio.

I have fine black hair and was looking for ashy blond balayage. My did an incredible job — she reached the color I wanted in just two sessions. She takes her time and makes sure she achieve what her clients came in for. Another amazing quality of My is her honesty — if you want something that is going to require multiple visits, she will be honest and upfront about it unlike many other places I have been to where they hold that info until you’re unhappy with the results.

I have not been so happy with my hair in a long time. My listened to the color I wanted to achieve and has meticulous attention to detail when highlighting. One of my complaints in the past has been too chunky, and not close enough to the roots leaving my hair looking bad. That is never the case with My, my ashy blonde hair looks healthy and natural. Glad I found My and her salon, I look forward to every visit!
