I took my 1.5 year old son here for a haircut after a few failed cuts at Kids Kuts. Charlie cut his hair and did an excellent job. He was extremely skilled, detail oriented, and patient with my screaming toddler. He took his time and communicated the entire time. I was really impressed and thankful. My son’s hair came out great! The only reason I give it four stars is because the price is a bit high for a toddler. I’m not sure the difference between a regular cut advertised as $10 and a scissor cut for $20. Maybe this should be changed as its misleading. Nonetheless, I would go back because everyone was very nice and talented.

Very clean atmosphere with okay barbers in my opinion. It even trying to be negative but Jay is the most stubborn angry barber I’ve came across. Don’t get me wrong he can cut hair, but his demeanor and vibe is just very stale. You’re not going to get those barber conversations with him due to his lack of enthusiasm. Last time I went to this barbershop he told me to get out of his chair and go to another barber in a mean way because he didn’t know what haircut I was explaining to him, but not only did I explain it I showed him plenty of pictures of it. He was literally just being lazy because the other barber seen the pics and did it with no problem. So if you want a specific haircut I advice you to not go to him because he might get angry with you and not even do your hair. Not trying to be negative in any way but this was my experience going to this barbershop.

Went here on NYE and sat for almost 2 hours before being acknowledged about if I needed a haircut or not. You could see from how everyone’s attitude was, especially the owners with the grey beard, that they were upset by having someone walk in without an appointment but if that was the case then why not just say there were no walk ins being accepted during that particular day? That was almost 2 years ago going on now and I haven’t been back since as this wasn’t the first time something like this happened there.

“Simply the Best”, says it all! Jay is hands down is one of, if not the best Barber in South Jersey! Better yet, the Tri- State area. Ever since I was discharged from the Marines I’ve been going to Jay. No matter where he was working at the time I have followed him. The chase is over, now that he owns his own shop and set his roots in Turnersville, New Jersey. If you can’t tell by now, I highly recommend Jay and Simply the Best.
