I’ve been getting my haircut from Danielle on Long Island for over 5 years and recommend her every opportunity I get. She recently started working at Martial Vivot 54th St. so I had to come and support. After the experience, I will only come see Danielle in the city. While her expertise didn’t change, the vibe and service exceeded all of my expectations. From the cold drinks served in beautiful glassware, the hair massage/wash, hot towel after the shave, and the overall ambience, her service has been elevated to a different level. While her prices are significantly more expensive in Manhattan, I would have paid double for the experience.

There is no better mens salon out there then Martial and no better barber then Danielle. She’s absolutely great and gives a perfect cut every single time. Recently moved back to NYC and was in need of a hair stylist after many, many years of being spoiled by one of the best in R.I. After an exhaustive search, Martial Vivot was top of the list several times but in particular Danielle. After my first visit, it all makes sense. Danielle is truly exceptional. An artist who knows her craft very well. She makes recommendations and explains the “why” blending that with the vision you walked in with. Additionally, she’s super personable and warmly welcoming. I rebooked for my next visit before I left.

I have extremely thick hair that can be quite difficult to work with as I’ve been told by many stylists/barbers, but Katy always seems to know just what to do.
