I received a service from a new stylist at this shop on 7/8/18. I posted in a Houston Facebook hair group requesting a particular style. I was very specific as to what service I wanted. She responded by sending me a photo and told me she was available and able to complete the style. That was a lie!! She initially charged me $150 but due to her inability to complete the work I paid a lesser fee. I am sure this young lady did not represent the brand and reputation this business has built for itself. Integrity is key and this young lady did not have it. I requested twist from the root and based on the photo she sent me to showcase her work it was a lie! She braided from the root and could not twist it. I asked if she could knot the ends as my concern was that my hair would come a loose and she physically put knots on the ends of my twist. I say all of this in hopes that the owner will help this young lady understand that honesty and integrity is what will take her far in this business not scheming and faking your quality of work. I was thinking of using this shop to maintain my hair but after this experience I have zero interest. I ended up coming home and having to fix my twist as they were already coming a loose. Help this young lady understand how to do business before she ruins someone else’s.

I love this place. Everyone is warm and friendly and positive energy flows throughout. The salon is not huge, but instead has an inviting, relaxing, homely feel to it. The name fits perfectly. FYI, my loctician, Z’Maji, is the best!!!
