Critical: Professionalism, QualityWent to this location several times for lash extensions. After my most recent visit, about 10 lashes fell out at once after 5 days. I contacted them and was asked to send a picture. I did and explained what happened. The response I received was oh you still have lashes. They didn’t all fall out. I will fill some in for free this one time. But the lashes fall out after 2 weeks. This is after spending $100 5 days prior and over $500 in the last 2 months. Went to this location several times for lash extensions. After my most recent visit, about 10 lashes fell out at once after 5 days. I contacted them and was asked to send a picture. I did and explained what happened. The response I received was oh you still have lashes. They didn’t all fall out. I will fill some in for free this one time. But the lashes fall out after 2 weeks. This is after spending $100 5 days prior and over $500 in the last 2 months. There are many places that offer this service. Good customer service is what differentiates the successful ones.

Critical: ProfessionalismI have gotten my eyelashes done here twice. Their customer service and professionalism is absolutely awful. My eyes tend to be a little sensitive and flutter a bit and squeeze a little tight in the beginning but calm down after the first 5 minutes. I’ve been getting my lashes done for years and never had a problem anywhere else. I could sense the last time I went the technician was frustrated, she huffed and puffed and was also pretty rough with my eyes (which did not help my flutter situation) but I let it go. I was willing to return because of the price alone and they did a decent enough job. So when I went to make my next appointment I was surprised when my calls were being ignored, my texts were being ignored, no one was responding to my voicemails. (I tried for two weeks since they book up and I wanted to get in before I leave for a trip) So I called from my boyfriends phone and to my not so pleasant surprise they responded with a text right away to make an appointment. So I texted for a 4th time from my phone asking for an appointment. FINALLY an answer, the technician beat around the bush and tried to lie that the girl who did my lashes wasn’t there and then ultimately told me that “my eyes are difficult to do” and “they don’t have the resources”. I cant seem to understand how a lash studio in the heart of Cos Cob can function without “the resources” to accommodate their clients accordingly. Sketchy. Aside from that, I could have gone without the insult to my intelligence and I would have appreciated a response two weeks ago when I tried to make the appointment so I could have booked elsewhere. (hence the single star review) So those who may have sensitive eyes beware and don’t bother, they aren’t skilled enough for the craft they’ve supposedly mastered and have absolutely no idea what proper customer service is. I will no longer recommend YJ and I will be returning to my old spot in Riverside. The price is a bit higher but the lashes are 100x better and they know how to treat their clients.
