After a life changing event, I wanted to change my hair style. This was my first time at this salon. It took awhile to make an appointment, as their process to approve your stylist and appointment takes hours. I informed the manager I wanted a different stylist to save money. I asked the stylist for a platinum blonde but ended up with a Bright yellow color, and was charged $300. This was more than more 1st stylist charged me. I was shocked to pay more. The stylist also used toner to attempt to tone the yellow down. That did not work and I had to come out of pocket. She also could not style my sort cut like I wanted. The stylist could have also take me that the platinum blonde I wanted, would take multiple attempts to achieve. Its harder for me, when I have to do extra research & Stylist does not share skills and healthy hair tips with clients. I think stylist should 1st ask client how important is healthy hair and what are their goals. This salon’s process and styling is not for everyone. Be prepared to pay a high price and the service may not be what you expect.

It was my first time going to get my hair done at the salon. I was nervous at first because I didn’t know if I was gonna get what I want. I got my hair done for homecoming and I was so amazed. I’ve never seen my hair look so good and pretty. They put products in my hair to look shiny and feel smooth. I would give Van Cleer 100/10 stars!

The setting at this hair salon is professional, clean and well organized. EVVY is the hairdresser I’ve been going to for my daughter in the past decade. I often go with my daughter and wait while she gets her hair done. The staff is friendly and accommodating to the both of us. I love how the facility takes good care of my daughter – from front desk to the shampoo gals to her hairdresser, Evvy. My daughter walks out of the salon gleaming and more confident every time!

I have never had a bad experience and have always been met with the utmost professionalism and kindness. Not to mention my hair always looks amazing and so does my daughter. I started taking my daughter to see Ms. Evvy 12 years ago. After a while I started going, too. She is able to accommodate both of us with differing hair styles and needs. The shop has moved to a more intimate setting and even with Covid the shop is a comfortable place to be. Really, I am grateful for them.

Van Cleef Hair Studio is and always has been amazing. The owner has maintained my hair for over 20 years…even at the former location on Huron Street. Although they are great stylist, more importantly Rahni is a great stewart of my hair. I’ve entrusted him with it’s health – and he never disappoints. Also, the other stylist are professional, polite and very skilled. It makes for a perfectly blended environment. If you looking for superior hair care….Van Cleef Hair Studio is the place!
