Hey. I’m Uncle Nat. I’m a fat trans disabled human who’s been removing hair from my body since I was 5 when I kissed my unibrow goodbye. At 15, I got a job at Blockbuster video to pay for electrolysis. I have PCOS related facial hair (hirsutism). I’m a chronic picker and plucker. Too depressed to wash my face two times a day. Agoraphobic. So fat I sat on the floor to get a haircut. Been on Accutane twice and I never had better skin than when I started using whole plant medicine on my face! Respect the barrier. Cancel culture is abuse. Gendered menus suck.

Okay so boom! I have skin irritation from home hair removal so my dermatologist was like, you should get laser hair removal. The process at Uncle Nat’s is seamless and it’s been one of the best investments I’ve ever made. It’s in the neighborhood and it’s super affordable in comparison to many other options within the city. I’ve had about 5 sessions so far. After my first session I saw about 80-90% hair loss. After the second session I’d say there was about 95% hair loss.

Everyone at Uncle Nat’s is just lovely. Georgia is so sweet and Natalie is extremely warm and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure showing up in the beautiful space they’ve curated and to have absolute confidence that I am in great hands. There is a lot of consideration given to how they conduct the services and ensure a comfortable and thoughtful experience for each and every one of their clients. I have only had sugaring done here but am interested in exploring lasering with Natalie who is such a knowledgable expert in all that they do. I am looking forward to my next visit or touch-up here!

I had the most amazing service from Michele! She was so nice, made me feel very comfortable, and did a great job! The space itself was beautiful, very clean, and well decorated. It was my first time visiting uncle Nat’s and was a bit confused when I arrived (it’s located in an apartment building). Looking lost outside, I was welcomed in by another (very sweet) Uncle Nat’s staff member headed into the building. Overall, this was an amazing experience and would 10/10 recommend! I will definitely be coming back for a sugaring service very soon. Thanks Michele!

First Time sugaring at Uncle Nat’s this morning! The Energy of the space is warm and welcoming. Very peaceful. Nat took the BEST care of me and explained the process and everything that was happening and why. After-care as well. Having someone be as patient as they are passionate and knowledgeable is so hard to come by and makes all of the difference. I WILL be returning consistently.

Just had a wonderful sugaring appointment with Michele! First off, this is not Erin. To any that have seen Erin at Uncle Nat’s and might be confusing Michele for her, this review is for you. I had a first time appointment with Erin and was not very happy with my experience and I unfortunately mistook Michele as Erin. Big mistake! Michele is possibly the complete opposite. She’s so knowledgeable and has amazing technique. You can tell she has a lot of experience and makes you feel so comfortable throughout. Probably the best sugaring experience I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend booking with her! Thank you so much Michele and Uncle Nat!

They were lovely to chat with and willing to answer any questions I had.I was greeted by puppies (10/10) and Uncle Nat, who offered me coffee and boxed water while waiting for the aesthetician. Erin performed my wax and saw me right away. As someone who gets sugared regularly, I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her. She was gentle, knowledgeable & lovely to chat with. This was my first time visiting Sugaring Brooklyn. They have a nice and comfortable apartment space/setting, with two sweet dogs; the space has a more relaxed, home-like feeling. There’s a seating area to wait for your appt. The bathroom is very nice and clean. Before you enter they ask for you to remove shoes, so if you’re not comfortable being barefoot, you should bring socks with you.
